Like buying a house.

A Toyota Taco 4X4 is pretty damn bulletproof for being off-road capable and if you need more power/space, get a Tundra.

That’s measuring ground clearance to the chunk.

I’m talking angle of entry and general body/trim height.

Anything with a box frame and a transfer case can be made to go off road.

The only truck I see that has a 4x4 ‘stance’ anymore is the Tacoma, but I think they’re wildly overpriced.

Probably because it is in its own league. The GM vehicles look good too with the off road packages but the Tacoma is a performer off road.

2018 Silverado

1989 Silverado (I have one)

If you can’t see that the 1989 can go across ditches, etc. that would tear the plastic off the front on the 2018, you’re a rahtard.

I just saw a new body style Silverado 4x4. The front lower valence is definitely lower than the rear diff.

I'm not crawling under someone else's truck, and there are very few stock 4x4 1997 Silverados running around. Maybe like twelve in LA

Somehow I'm not surprised no one is going to use actual numbers to prove their claims.

Nissan is rumored to be bringing back the Xterra type vehicle soon. Box frame and perhaps even a small diesel.

Exactly. It's amazing how stupid people are. You level a truck and put any payload in it and you are riding around "un-level". There is really no advantage to being "leveled" unless you are putting larger tires than stock. And even in that case, you probably need to lift in general to get any advantage with tire size.

Only aero advantage that is detrimental to offroading is the air dam in the front of a lot of new trucks. But that is easily removed.

No, the tan color is quicksand, I believe.

This is the cement. Might be the same as the concrete for the 4runner.. I've never looked at the color options for the 4runner.
