Very true, but they usually take their kids side in most situations like this in my experience as a teacher. They are generally the worst behaved.

When was it normal for parents to punch their kids?

Yes wtf is wrong with y’all? Violently beating your child is how you create violent adults. And there is a big difference between discipline/spanking vs punching your child in the face.

We'd be a lot better off if more kids got beat after they acted up a school.

grabbed her 13-year-old son by the hair. The boy told police she struck him several times, slung him to the floor and punched him in the face.

I’m all for disciplining and spanking a child, but this is not discipline. All she’s doing is reinforcing in that child is violence. He’ll grow up using the same level of uncontrollable violence and be exactly where she is in a few years.

More kids need their asses beaten by their parents from time to time.

This is another reason why they become killers at young ages. They learn violence in the home is the way to solve problems

Unless the boy is injured the police ought to mind their own fricking business.

I agree. When I used to get it I knew why and did not think it was abuse. I knew that I screwed up and that was the consequence of that screw up

I've seen it quite a bit, actually. Mom's will check the child out of school, beat them, then send them back.

The one time a New Orleans parent cared about their kids behavior, she gets in trouble.

Thank you. A teacher is only there to teach. If a respectful kid learns some values while he/she is doing their job even better.

Soft

When I was 16 I got caught up in a situation where a parents beer was stolen.

My dad hit me so hard in the chest I thought he sunk it in.

I learned from it.
