Other than a few crunchy types in old Mandeville....very few. It does not get much better than Mandeville / Covington anywhere along the Gulf Coast. Woke is not an adjective I would associate with St. Tammany at all.

Slidell has some issues bleeding over from NO East but overall it is pretty safe especially east of I 10 and down below Gause along Bayou Liberty and down to Oak Harbor.

Haven't ruled out Kentucky, just never been so it's not on my front runners list. I know it falls somewhere in the middle for taxes and was a little higher than NC the last I did a comparison.

Keep your eyes wide open.
Not going to say where I saw the indications but it is definitely seeping in slowly but gradually. Did a double take and was like

No. I guess if you want to find "woke" you can find it. But the council ain't woke and Randy Smith sure as shite ain't woke ( actually he violates civil rights on a regular basis) . Covington has a few Bohemian types and Mandeville has McClain Pizza people but other than that a vast majority make John Birch types seem mainstream.

Charlotte area has grown rapidly and has a lot of job opportunities especially in the financial industry. The city itself is getting kind of expensive but there are some really nice suburbs in the metro area. Huntersville, Cornelius, or Davidson would be my top recommendations for a family.

It’s demographics more so than geography. Avoid any area with a significant minority population. Of course avoid minority run cities.
That means yours headed west or south. Smaller more stable cities are a better bet. Lower Baldwin County, Al; north Fl. Occur off the top of my head.
We’re headed to north Mississippi.

Bowling Green is absolutely beautiful, horse country and has some really great driving roads.

For a couple with kids where is the best place to move in the US and why? Florida and Tennessee seems like top options to me.

Have been in Knoxville for 3 years and love it. Housing prices are going nuts lately, fortunately we beat it.

Does anyone feel like area of residence has gotten better over the last 10-20 years. There have been many comments about a number of different places all saying their area has gotten worse. Seems like everywhere has gotten worse but some faster than others. Some areas are still just worse overall for sure.

Really just curious of any popular places moving in the right direction.

Any specifics or at least clues? I mean, some Old Mandeville restuarants had chalkboard signs out that were celebrating Pride Month but ive not seen anything else to indicate what you are saying. Some crunchy types around but they often vote R even if they dont act like it.

I think we are going to see more and more of an exodus.

I wonder if Baton Rouge metro will be larger than New Orleans metro in twenty years.

North Carolina is great. Just don’t move to Charlotte.
