Why do we have to be the bigger person than Kiffin though? After the way our own coach, his family, and the national sports media treated us, why should we take the high road?
I agree with you, and I don't bear Trinidad any ill will, but we would be helping LSU and Lane by extension which just feels wrong given everything that has transpired.
Genuine question, but how does it work with the request for his eligibility? If it comes back and is approved, can he transfer immediately? If we get the sense that he is going to try and transfer, should we not pull the request immediately to try and stop him from being able to play for LSU?
Old Firm is more than just a soccer rivalry. It is pretty embedded in Scottish culture as a battle between Catholics and Protestants.
He was featured in the movie Kingdom of Heaven. He is only shown at the late stages of his leprosy but his victory at Montgisard is mentioned.

Edward Norton was great in this role, but they definitely toned down his spirituality and made him more of a pacifist who was skeptical of organized religion.

The real Baldwin was deeply religious and understood that peace could only be temporary. He certainly understood that Saladin was a major threat. I think the film makers wanted him to counter the more blood thirsty portrayals of Guy de Lusignan and Reynald de Chatillon.
Of those 6k defenders though many of them were servants, citizens conscripted as militia, or men at arms employed by the Knights Hospitaller. Only around 600 of them were knights belonging to the order. So it is a bit misleading but technically accurate.
Also to be fair, Edward II is far from the only gay king in English history. William II, Richard II, James I all were at one point accused or were known to have male favorites who were likely lovers.
I think the reason he broke into random English is because he is a rapper and if you ever listen to Korean hip hop/pop music their songs always contain English lyrics mixed in.

I don't know if this was just a tongue and cheek reference to the fact that the actor who plays him was in a KPop band, or if it is realistic to have young Koreans actually adding English into their speech, but he produced some hilarious lines.

Overall I think the weakest part of this season is that the side characters were boring and forgettable compared to Season 1. Thanos and his minion were the only real memorable ones.

I never understood why they didn't try to pin the code red on him after his death. I feel like that is what would happen in real life.
Anyone else remember seeing her in the music video for "Echo" by Trapt? I had to throw it on after hearing the news, what a nostalgia bomb.
The scene when the animals all howl together in support of Roz hit me in the feels :wah:

Certainly a hero, but not medieval, as his famous Battle of Vienna took place in 1683.

A lot of good mentions so far. I would personally submit John the Blind, Count of Luxembourg and King of Bohemia. Died at the age of 50 while fighting in the Battle of Crecy despite having been blind for the last 10 years.

Despite the fact that the battle was essentially lost already he refused to retreat as he felt it was beneath the dignity of a King. He had his knights tie their horses to his and charged into the fray where he was killed in action. Pretty much embodied the idea of a chivalrous warrior.
It wasn’t a perfect movie but I will always remember the opening scene of Gangs of New York. Looking back the mid fight music was corny as hell but everything leading up to it was intense. Also a prime Daniel Day Lewis going up against Liam? It was a flawed movie with some amazing performances and the opening scene sticks with me to this day.

If I remember correctly, the Mexico story pretty much mirrored the real life founding of the Los Zetas. First as an armed wing of the Gulf Cartel made up of former military members. Eventually they turned on their bosses.

I don't remember finding it silly, but as far as over the top goes the Zetas were known for their over the top violent antics and had an enormous impact on the cartel wars and the way they are fought, so that tracks.
Some people strongly disliked but I really enjoyed The Doors film by Oliver Stone. I thought Val Kilmer killed it and I've always found Jim Morrison to be a fascinating character in addition to enjoying a lot of their music when I was younger.on
Never seen the show but I really enjoyed the books, may have to give this a watch.
Daniel Plainview is one of the most disturbing movie characters I’ve come across.

To be fair Bald and Bankrupt has a tendency to offend and burn bridges in that region. I believe he is banned from going back to Russia and got detained in Chechnya and had to issue a public apology. Travel bloggers like Drew Binsky who are a little more middle of the road with their approach seem to get in fine.
Not at all. Didn’t really deal with sexual attraction either way. Had more to do with friendships and the pressures of fitting in along with the changes brought on by puberty. Also highlighted the relatable pressure of making the sports team that even as an adult I remember all too well from teenage years.
