Oh yeah, it is a benefit, the clear line is moving twice the rate of everyone else. So there is that.

Made it to the bottom of the escalators only to be welcomed into the serpentine of what would normally be the TSA pre check area. My guess is another 45 minutes and I can make it to the screening folks

If you have Clear and pre check are people still waiting longer? Flying out of New Orleans tomorrow and have both. It's an early flight and don't want to get there earlier than I need to.

Precheck does not exist at this time, no such thing. You either have clear or you don't. That's your choices right now. The don't have clear line was two garage parking decks long. Clear line was half that

I flew out on Wednesday at 7am and it took me about 15 minutes to get through TSA pre check. Normal line looked like it was moving fast as well.

Seems like this is more of a weekend problem which makes sense

I would imagine everyone is going through the same line and there is no pre-check vs normie. Clear is privately owned that gets you access.

You could always have clear and not be pre-check.

Dems are the ones not funding it.

This is the correct answer, two lines those with clear and thoae without. You may have pre check or whatever else, doesn't matter. Wait in the super long line without clear or the long line with clear

I’d change my flight to Baton Rouge and drive there before I’d wait 4 hours in line

I’m sitting on the Tampa airport waiting on my flight. Made it through in 5 minutes with precheck. It looked like the non precheck line was probably 10-15 minutes. What’s more, the TSA staff were pleasant and professional and kept things moving.
Tampa is by far better than MSY. I like flying in and out of TPA more than any other airport in the Southeast.

have flown out of MSY three times this year in the middle of the week and never waited longer than 10 minutes in line.

CSB

Sunday flyers tend to be more families which already slows down the lines. Additionally it seems like the sick outs are happening on Sundays and Mondays to have max impact.

Had someone fly out on Wednesday. I brought them for 3:30 (5a.m. flight). They said it took 33 minutes with TSA Pre and 45ish without. Picked them up Friday at 8p.m. and I didn't see a line.

Oh FFS.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security failed to advance Friday in the Senate amid growing concerns about long lines to get through screening at some of the country’s biggest airports. Democrats declined to provide the support needed to move the funding measure toward final passage.

Three hours exactly from getting into the line until I cleared security.

Here is the real punch in the nuts last minute. Doesn't matter if you are clear, precheck special sauce or whatever. Take you damn belt off, take the boots off. Of course no instructions so I approached the scanner like I always do at the precheck end. Nope, you gotta do the whole thing ...

I am going to find a bloody Mary, exhausting
