I have a 35hp bobcat tractor (made by kioti) and love it. The key is to ensure you have a tractor with the hydrostatic transmission. It opens up the usefulness. I can run a stump grinder where manual transmission tractors cant without problems. The quick attatch on the bucket is also must have. Switch between grapple root rake, bucket, pallet forks, and lane side cutters in minutes. Tractors are easier to work on, change fluids ect. Skid steers typically try to pack everything in a compact tight area and things are difficult to get to to work on. Don't get me wrong, I am not hating on skid steers, but a farm setting tractors typically fair better.
re: LOOKING FOR A PILOT THAT LIKES TO WHITETAIL HUNT

Per the regulations private pilots can only be compensated for their pro rata share. So expense of the flight (fuel and oil) the private pilot cannot recieve more than the pro rate share. Meaning divide the cost between whoever is on board. That was even a scenario question during the oral interview to get the license. "Let's say a friend says he has two superbowl tickets in Tampa. He tells you he will give you one if you fly him there. Can you do that?" The answer is no, because a private pilot cannot receive compensation for services. Now, if you had your commercial rating then that would be different, but then enters a whole other volume of regulations.

I am a pilot, I own my own plane in Slidell, I hunt whitetail.......as others have stated let me put numbers on this for you. Flight from Slidell to Peoria is about six hours. Fuel required will be around 55 gallons so a stop would have to be made. Lets say Olive Branch, Ms. is where we stop for fuel and a piss break. Fuel there is now $5.30 a gallon.. Fuel at Peoria is $6.45. Lets average that at $5.88 a gallon. 55 gallons for the one way is around $325 so a round trip is going to be around $650. Here is something you probably are not thinking. Private pilots can only split the cost of fuel. So, on top of my time, my plane (insurance, maintenance, and mortgage) I only have half of the fuel paid for? Those deer better be B&C candidates.
Edit to add: I flew earlier this year from Slidell to French Lick Indiana, then Memphis and back to Slidell. Total fuel was 91 gallons.
See where I am going with this? Sounds good on the surface but not so good in practice. You are better off driving..

It doesn’t matter what they cost if your able to use an EBT food stamp card to buy them!
I’ve been into several stores that sell crawfish that had people ahead of me buying them. Every single one paid with a La Purchase Card!
So stupid to allow that to happen.
And of course they pull out a wad of cash to pay for the beer to go with them.
THIS!!! Plenty of them sell the buy live and we will prepare for free. Total BS. Not anecdotal, seen it with my own eyes.

Model 642 airweight. No thinking on how to operate. Point and pull the trigger. No hammer to get snagged on anything on the draw. Chances are she is not going to gun battle anyone so more than five shots are probably not needed. No need to complicate things by introducing an auto that could fail to feed from a limp wrist hold. Simple and reliable, point and pull the trigger with almost 100% results.

It is perfect for the "first shot" training. Practice how you carry, concealed or open. Make the draw, obtain the site picture, squeeze the trigger, and instant feedback with shot placement and time. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

That would suck, but, worth the effort I guess

Appreciate the heads up. I needed a cheap TV I could throw out in the outdoor ship. Out of stock except apparently at the Covington Supercenter. They are preparing my order now.

I do, but I made a ring that is level with the lid opening and sticks go across it. I hang regular length sausage from it.

The temp will continue to rise after pulling it off. Pull it at 150-155 put in a deep pan, wrap tightly with foil then wrap a couple layers of heavy towels around it or at least draped over the top. Let it rest 30-45 minutes and you will get the 165+ temp. Nice and juicy that way

If you look real close in the picture with the rack resting on the rim look at the bottom left by the end of the pig tail hook and you can see one of the flaps.
