I flew out of New Orleans on Tuesday, maybe a five minute wait. When I asked the TSA agent she said it’s Sundays and Mondays that are terrible. The rest of the week it’s no problem.

Trump’s America! Another big win!

Democrats are holding back TSA funding in order to try to pressure Trump into stop deporting illegals, but somehow Trump's the bad guy?

If TSA employees wanted to prove a point they would all do it on the same day and frick travel up for 2 weeks. These single airports do nothing.

We had 8AM flights out of MSY Thursday morning. Go there stupid early and there were zero lines.
Knew it probably wouldn’t be an issue that day necessarily but couldn’t risk it.

It’s happening all over the country. It’s not an MSY only thing.

very rare occurrence in New Orleans. Usually pretty easy. MSY rated best airport 3 years in a row. Another thought, why does everyone have to fly everywhere? Stay in your community and do things. Fly when necessary. Flying should be an expensive luxury not for people to just go party in another city. Aren't we tired of outsiders that don't belong in our culture flying in ? And if you do visit another country or city, enjoy and then go back where you came from !

The sick-outs seem to be happening on Sunday's.

Glad I opted for the 6:00 am flight out of BTR vs 10:45 at MSY.

12hr plus travel day but I will arrive at destination at same time but get no line at TSA precheck and don’t have to stress.

Edit:

2 sundays ago TSA had a sick out to protest no pay. Would like they did it again. As lines were just as long then.

Is it another TSA sick out? The last time this happened it was in a Sunday. My son is flying out of O’Hare this evening for NO. I just told him to make sure he gets his arse to the airport early.

I have flown out of MSY three times this year in the middle of the week and never waited longer than 10 minutes in line.

This issue is all politics. They’re pretending TSA can’t afford to fully staff in effort to make it seem like the administration caused everyone pain of waiting in line.

To me is just another reason I don’t fly unless absolutely mandatory.

What does the war have to do with the inept government refusing to pay its workers?
