this is too big of a deal to lose out on over some ducks.
Some baws bought the old Pecan Island High School and converted it to a huge duck camp.
Shut down quick due to lack of ducks.
Don't think it's an issue....

They want to have the launch path go over water as much as possible. If it’s a few miles inland then the areas under the flight path have more impacts from noise and vibration.
Yeah they want to be on the coast. Not near the coast

Can’t wait for SpaceX to be incorporated into a storyline of this.

this will be great for tradesman but its going to put pressure on our workforce for sure. government needs ot get their arse in gear and make sure we are getting kids into the trades to support these huge projects. datacenters, LNG, and space-X all going at the same time on top of our existing industry.

Every 2 year college in the state needs to be all of this.
I’m thankful that our local CC (Nunez) has been good at this.

By 2030 there should be a stack exchange at I-10/I-49 that even Texas would be jealous.
Baw, this state took 8 years to finish I-10 @ Pecue. You think they can build a stack in 3?

Sorry about the ducks but they’re going to have to go somewhere else.
I read nothing but duck hunters in S. LA whining about no ducks anyway.
This is way too important to the state to worry about having to travel a little further for ducks. Hunters from New Orleans to Lake Charles will find them somewhere.

The far-reaching bills, since signed into law by Landry, would shield aerospace companies from liability and would block local governments and individuals from suing for damages related to physical or economic harm caused by launch operations.
Niiice.

This state has already fricked up a miriad of businesses trying to come here, including a Buc-ee's
, can only imagine what creative way they'll find to fumble this.

I’ll let all the fools go chase that work and sign contracts with SpaceX

Agreed. Fortunately Richard Nelson is now leading the Louisiana Community and Technical College system. He’s an incredibly competent leader. Stars are aligning for the state to continue its positive economic development trajectory.
