I wonder about "English Proper", for years societies strived to move from barbarism to civility. But now civility and etiquette is seen as weakness or oppression.

Go look at her Twitter page, @SarahBeckerPhD. It's jam packed with complaints about today's society being unfair to women, black people, etc. About what you would expect from someone teaching this class.
