The fact that y'all are so triggered by the class is both hilarious and proves the need for this class

I find your observation quite weak. But please elaborate so I can give you a fair chance to defend this joke of a class.

It'd be great for her to see this thread

Bunch of dudes skipping over her qualifications and talking about how stupid her feminist worldview is and how she's pretty hot

She needs a good deep dicking, foot massage, and to be treated like a lady. One of u baws needs to sign up for this class and do the deed before she burns the coal and pays the toll.

This is why we can't have nice things.

And by nice things I mean a university where the professors who actually work to teach useful skills and conduct meaningful research can be compensated adequately.

There is a specific history of why race and gender came to be understood together. The French theorists of the 50s worked with this idea called Structuralism, which says society must be understood in terms of the structures it's uses to understand the world. It started from linguistics. Derrida challenged some notions from Structuralism and Phenomenology, and developed a rather rigorous method of reading called deconstruction. At the same time Michel Foucault and others moved from existentialism to a combination of structuralism and Phenomenology, in the same vein as Derrida but different in what it was interested in, i.e. the concept of the thing rather than the subject. Foucault wrote about about discipline, punishment and power using a variety of reading techniques.

The American philosopher Judith Butler, among others, used these techniques and other frameworks (such as Beauvoir's The Second Sex) to write about power and gender. Other feminists of the 80s wrote about power and race, and the modern movement uses intersectionality to describe those overlaps. The intellectual history of the ideas are very interesting. These ideas are written off as Marxist, which unfortunately doesn't capture their rigor, as Derrida especially is a remarkably careful writer who has been denigrated as espousing 'cultural Marxism' despite not exactly being a Marxist.

Biography I am a sociological criminologist and ethnographer whose work examines how intersectional inequalities are enacted, reproduced, and/or challenged in various structural contexts. I use qualitative and quantitative methodologies to study community-based reactions to crime/disorder, formal and informal policing, violent crime, sexual victimization, and the education of marginalized youth. My work appears in journals such as Women’s Studies International Forum, Law and Social Inquiry, Journal of Contemporary Ethnography; Race and Justice, Critical Criminology, and Feminist Criminology. I am jointly appointed in Sociology and Women’s and Gender Studies and serve as an affiliate faculty member of African and African American Studies at LSU.

I’d frick her, but since she’s retarded she can’t give consent. she’s likely the type to view all sex as rape anyway.

I read about all this in college. Their intentions were most likely pure.....however shitheads have taken hold of these ideas and run with them. Which is again why we can’t have nice things. Also most of these academic shitheads ignore the structures that exist in the middle class white south culture or write them off as racist without acknowledging them as real and necessary. It’s almost as if they want White American reality to absorb and conform regardless of its merits because it is inherently racist, sexist, etc.

Meanwhile in their physical anthropology class they study sexual dimorphism, evolution, and bone structure of fossils around the world and accept it without applying bullshite SJW ideas.

Don't get me wrong, I like original feminism. 4th wave isn't empowering however, it's very destructive and collective.
