Yea I agree with you. I think it’s just some people have more money than they know what to do with. A lot of the reviews on the site I recently mentioned include a lot of professional athletes.

I’m not reading 14 pages prior to this, but they are going to put the 6.4L in a Jeep from the factory. Google is your friend.

They have plenty of ifs vehicles with all the articulation you could even need. Watch the replays on YouTube of King of the Hammers. Quite a few ifs rigs on there getting the absolute hell beat out of them.
The after market has started making some really good parts for ifs, and if you're worried about the cv's I'm sure RCV will have them within a few months for it once they start hitting the dealships.
He'll someone will have a SAS kit for it within a year.

Oh man. That’s awesome.

That new 4 door is beautiful. I am just waiting on the engine review before pulling the trigger.

That 2-door looks like money
Posted on 7/14/20 at 2:56 pm to MardiGrasCajun
I like it, especially the 4 door.

The H1 had independent front suspension.
I don't think anything affordable has the type on IFS on the level of the H1 or something running in the King of Hammers.

I agree, but he was talking aftermarket. Plenty of companies out west that make good parts for ifs. I while I prefer a solid axle for off-road, the newer ifs stuff is way ahead of the old torsion bar setups from the 80s.
I guess the raptor has the best production ifs setup right now, but it also comes with a nice price tag.

Jeep doesn’t make the two door anymore... only the 4 door unlimited is still in production.
Gotta love the auto expertise you can find on the OT.

Id be happy to get 110k miles out of a car. That is about 10 years or so the way I drive.
That's 2 years for me. Maybe a little more.

It's an uglier version of the Jeep wrangler with an independent front suspension.
So in addition to being more expensive, less reliable, and uglier....it's also not as good off road. Pass.

Why does the OT hate jeeps so much? They don't look good with truck nuts?

The OT hates on any brand that comes with a “lifestyle”, and Jeep Wranglers absolutely fit the bill. We all have clear stereotypes in our minds of wrangler drivers just like we do of people who have salt life, yeti, or 30A stickers on their cars.
Also, the OT really hates Daimler Chrysler vehicles (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram) and worships the Chevy Silverado and the Ford Bronco of old.
FJ Cruisers aren’t hated because there’s no embarrassing subculture on the internet of FJ Cruiser owners. They’re just insanely reliable discontinued off-road vehicles with a distinct look.
In my opinion, this Bronco looks the part. On paper, it has the features. It’s price is right in line with the Wrangler, so it will make for lots of apples to apples comparisons. I think it looks cooler than the Wrangler, so maybe when I’m in the market for a new car in a couple years, I’ll see about getting one of those 2-door Broncos. Granted, I also thought the Jeep Renegade looked cool, so take that for what it’s worth.

What is that cut out of the door?
Posted on 7/14/20 at 4:13 pm to MardiGrasCajun
So how much is it going to cost to get one of these with all leather and a premium sound system?
Posted on 7/14/20 at 4:14 pm to Chalkywhite84
Highway approved piss hole.

Which is interesting because trucks are a lifestyle and the OT only drives trucks
