And every truck thread devolves into each brand loyalist hating on each other brand.

The OT hates on any brand that comes with a “lifestyle”, and Jeep Wranglers absolutely fit the bill. We all have clear stereotypes in our minds of wrangler drivers just like we do of people who have salt life, yeti, or 30A stickers on their cars.
Fair enough. I like owning a 4wd convertible, but at the end of the day, I'm in love with a 20 year old shitbox that gets 10 miles to the gallon.

In my opinion, this Bronco looks the part. On paper, it has the features. It’s price is right in line with the Wrangler,
I mean, I hope it makes Jeep get their head out of their arse on their pricing. They're already too expensive. But, the OT's criticism of the Jeep is that everybody that drives a Jeep is a girl.
By the looks of the new Bronco, there wasn't a single man involved with the design.

The OT criticizes everything that isnt a truck as gay or for women

I've never understood the vehicle brand fan boys. I just buy what I like at the time. I've owned GMC, Nissan, Dodge, Ram, Ford, Jeep. Just about all of them have been perfectly fine vehicles too.

Working on various makes allows for much disdain, same with owning unreliable vehicles.
I think a lot of the hate stems from this, at least it does for me.

I think some of this is a vestige of a bygone era when men used to work on their own vehicles and vehicles were designed with repairs by owners in mind. Being a brand loyalist had its advantages because you knew where everything was, the parts would often be interchangeable between several models, and the sized tools you would need were relatively consistent.
Some brand loyalty is still understandable even if you don’t work on cars yourself because the different brands will tend to have certain functions (emergency blinkers, cruise control, shift knob, windshield wipers, etc) placed in spots unique to that brand. Also, brands have different seat designs and entertainment clusters, so familiarity Or comfort with one brand’s setup could be a factor in sticking with it over another brand whose setup is a little different, so I can see it sorta.
It took some adjusting for me to go from driving a Ford to a Hyndai. The braking, acceleration, and handling all feel completely different.

But, serious question. Will the Lezbo's like it as much as they like Jeeps??

All vehicles other than tiny commuter sedans, which no one wants, are too expensive these days. Anything with four wheel drive and a little cargo space is going to cost an arm and a leg if it’s not a complete piece of crap.

The only vehicle I've ever owned that was a total pain in the arse was a 1993 Nissan truck. Damn thing was always in the shop. I had friends that had them and never had any problems but mine always had something wrong with it.

My ‘89 Nissan pickup was a tank. Dad had it. Passed it on to my brother as his first truck. Then it became my first vehicle. Then my cousin used it as his first vehicle.
We beat the ever living shite out of that truck and it never gave a bit of trouble. Besides nit picking shite on the interior.
I bet that truck is still rockin in Mexico somewhere.

Classic Ford Broncos in Ohio builds some great fully restored Broncos with Coyote engines but they’ll cost you over $200k.
That’s about what the Icon ones cost. I’ll check these CFB guys out.

To answer your previous question, yes I was able to reserve a First Edition last night.
Awesome. I can’t wait to be reminded about how I’ve been waiting to see the pics when you get it.

You spend supercar money for some sort of replica that looks cool, but isn't original and replaces everything that makes it cool.
The Icon ones are rebuilt from classic broncos. So you’d have a new 66 bronco with a coyote.

What is that cut out of the door?
Imagine it is billed as helping see obstacles offroad.
Probably should check the replacement price before taking that glass offroad.

I think the only things they keep are the body panels. Even the frame is restomod. Not sure about the axles, not sure what they were

FJ Cruisers aren’t hated because there’s no embarrassing subculture on the internet of FJ Cruiser owners.
What about the Landcruiser? Those old school Landcruisers have a strong cult following as well but I guess the new ones are priced to the point that if you can afford one, you are immune to hatred. I actually think a modified Landcruiser with a lift, tires, and a little engine/exhaust work would be a bad arse ride but unless you are obscenely loaded, that is a unicorn.

I'm an experienced off-roader, I've done the Rubicon, Moab, Ozarks, Appalachians...bunch of parks...
Give me a weekend with that Bronco and I'll tell you if it's worth it.
