When I gave it to her, I asked her to marry me and she said yes. Other than that, I don’t know how she felt.

She wants the vacations. It’s the one thing she’s ok with. I’ve been reluctant, because to me, it’s like lighting the money on fire. That was my opinion. I’ve come around on the “making memories” argument.

Wants to build a brand new mansion and 200,000 car....thinks vacations and travel are "lighting money on fire"

She's 100% right about you never being satisfied.

Also, get a Porsche. Mercedes

Ah it’s not about the house she is fine with that because she gets to enjoy it. She doesn’t want YOU to get a nice car that YOU enjoy with the money YOU earned. Typical woman. She wants it all spent on her

Without trying to be condescending, you sound like you used to be a “finance an F250 for 8 years” baw in the past, with the truck note equal to the cost of rent. (Judging by your wedding ring story).

She’s seen that behavior before, and would prefer to live more modestly and be more financially secure.

You're trying to find a reason why she's wrong.

There's numerous people giving you sound advice, just not the advice you want to hear.

She wants to spend the disposable income on time with the family experiencing different places. She's telling you stuff doesn't matter to her. You seem to really want to have new nice stuff. That's a pretty wide disconnect you'd be wise to think about and communicate with her about.

What if a democrat wins in 2020 and decides to make dental work a Medicaid type of reimbursement for all people for free? No industry is recession proof. Save your money.

We both grew up poor, so I figured she’d appreciate being able to have nice things, but it made her into a monk or something. I have always wanted nice things, but have been patient. Now I want to enjoy the fruit of my labor.

You may have money now, but you still think like a poor.

He’s trying to return to his roots subconsciously. He’ll blow all his new money and be broke dick again once his income hits a down turn.

I’m beginning to think this is a troll. If not you’re incredibly dumb or not communicating well with her.

She’s content. She wants you home more and wants to spend what excess y’all have on things with/for the family (vacations, starter homes) and helping others who need it.

Again. She’s reached that point and you haven’t. Y’all need to actually have a candid, adult discussion otherwise you’re heading down a path that ends in divorce.
