Why would I pay $15-$20 at McDonald's when I can dine in luxury at Applebee's for less?

Fast food was good for 2 things:
1. It was fast
2. It was cheap

It’s no longer cheap (and some places it isn’t fast). You might as well spend $15 and get a burger and fries from a normal restaurant.

I do it most days for lunch. Work out of a utility truck, so microwaving something brought from home isn’t generally possible. A few guys do—they use the microwaves inside gas stations. For me, I usually get a $6 deal from either Mickey Ds or Taco Belch. Not great but not completely terrible.

If my work takes me past any kind of good poboy or plate lunch, then I’m doing that instead, pretty much regardless of the cost.

It amazes me that people still eat at Subway.

$5 was and still is the fair value for one of their mediocre sandwiches.

Multiple choice of lib responses regarding inflation:

a) Trump's fault
b) It's greedy corporations fault. They're only raising prices to gouge customers because of capitalism. We need socialism instead
c) The president has no control over gas prices or the price of consumer goods.
d) Inflation is not as bad in the U.S. as in other parts of the world
e) All of the above

Worst part is, it’s still cheaper than eating healthy.

Fast food prices are total bullshite these days. There is zero reason to get fast food when there is so much better value anywhere else

It used to be you could say well it’s junk food but at least it’s cheap. Not anymore

The answer to that from what i keep seeing is that Biden inherited a terrible economy.

My question is always, how does the work almost 4 years later?

How did the prices keep rising the entire time this administration was in office if the current economy is the strongest it’s ever been?

This myth needs to die.

You don’t have to eat all organic from Whole Foods in order to eat healthy.

If you ate McDonald’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you’d be spending like $30 a day to eat. You can make healthy meals at home for like $1 per meal. You could eat for the day for like $5.

I know it’s less than a dollar, but 58 cents for a cup of ramen at home is ridiculous.

Why do people continue to say this stupid shite?

For the price of one meal at McDonald's you can buy 3 lbs of ground beef from Sam's club.

Go buy some rice for a few dollars and some frozen vegetables.

You just fed your family for several nights for like $20-25

It is. The last time I ate fast food was 6 months ago at taco bell. One small bag and a sweet tea was almost $20. I felt like shite afterwards, plus they told me to pull up as soon as they took my money.

Not only is it a luxury due to its price, it's also bad for you, and it comes with shite service. At this point, it has zero redeeming qualities. Not one. I don't understand how they're not folding up left and right. It doesn't make any sense.
