The nation’s average price of gasoline has risen 2.9 cents over the last week and stands at $4.05 per gallon, according to GasBuddy® data compiled from more than 12 million individual price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country. The national average is down 5.0 cents from a month ago and is 92.6 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel rose 16.6 cents in the last week and stands at $5.584 per gallon.

“Average gasoline prices moved higher in the majority of states over the last week, with fewer than 10 states seeing declines, while diesel surged nearly 17 cents per gallon nationally, leaving it less than 25 cents away from an all-time record high,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “Gasoline, while not at all-time records, is at its highest level ever recorded this late in the calendar year, meaning Americans could for the first time ever see a national average price of gasoline above $4 per gallon on Labor Day—eclipsing the previous record of $3.83 per gallon set in 2012."

Looks like Elon isn't only destroying Louisiana's marshes, but he evidently also caused the state's gasoline and diesel prices to shoot up over the past week.

AAA has the national average for Regular at $4.0991/gallon on their site today, up 3.55 cents per gallon from recorded average this time last week.

Texas: $3.6198/gallon
Louisiana: $3.6966/gallon
Mississippi: $3.6540/gallon
Alabama: $3.7341/gallon

Trump said we were paying higher prices so we can defeat the evil Iranian regime. It's definitely not for Israel.

On May 22, 2008, which Maxine Waters told oil executives in a hearing that if she had her way, she'd have the government take over their companies, the national average was about $3.84/gallon. That would be about $5.92/gallon in today's dollars.

Imagine the screaming that would be going on in D.C. right now if the national average for Regular was $5.92/gallon. We'd probably have members of both parties threatening to take over the oil & gas industry.

Biden's 2022 $5.02 would be $5.73 today.

Really wish there was a viable hybrid truck.
Wife has a plug-in-hybrid and has been getting roughly 1,000 miles per tank of gas.

This will hurt the feelings of all the closeted Democrats on this board, but given current Democratic leadership that is pushing socialism, her dream will come true.

Let's talk about the equity positions the Trump admin has taken in private enterprise.

These elevated gas prices are going to cause people to start defaulting on shite and it’s going to be a big problem.
