I'm ready for JD Vance and hope he'd be much better. I feel if elected, he would
Genuine question, why? To me Vance gives off vibes of just going where the popular winds blow. Plus he’s completely owned by tech bros

True but still better than anything the Democrats had then and now to offer
Hey, we are shitty, but we aren’t as shitty as those guys! Great political culture we have going here. Dems and MAGA are both shite. Two sides of the same idiotic, lowest common denominator coin

I’ll be there. Don’t understand how anyone can’t get excited for fall Saturdays. Great time to be with the fam and enjoy Tuscaloosa.

Really? Trump and his business associates have always been grifters. I’m surprised people didn’t expect this.

Where the hell do people park on Gameday?
Lots of folks park in and around downtown. Not a bad walk at all and you can hit several different watering holes on the way.

I understand it was the summer but the area we were in was kind of dead. Is this common in T Town during this time of year?
You were there on a Sunday night right? Not exactly a go out on the town night

sad to see the number of pansies downvoting your assessment
What’s sad is the SOH issue wasn’t really an issue before Trump started all this. Our own actions created this problem.

Trump and company royally fricked up getting us into this situation, why should we think they can get us out?

I for one love having ancient geriatrics running the country
re: How has Trump's kids making money off Bitcoin affected your life today?

It hasn’t affected me at all, but I can see that people complaining about it on the internet has really, really affected you
re: Why does it feel like we’re letting Iran dictate everything to us?

It feels that way because that is what is happening my guy.

Libertinism is no way to sustain a country or culture
And neither is asceticism or puritanism. All I’m saying in this thread is all in all this is still a good place to live, and I believe will stay that way if people get involved in their communities and work together to solve problems.

Exactly because I live in a country where I’m free to do so, and that’s a pretty great thing.

Stopping birthright citizenships would have been a solid start.
It would have been something. I’m not really arguing for birthright. Just saying that I believe being American still means something.
And the best thing that could happen as Americans is more people become engaged with their local communities and do what they can to make it a better place. That’s how we change things imo. I’ve long given up on the government and a-hole politicians to do anything worthwhile. What makes this country great is the everyday people coming together. Maybe I’m wrong, but I still think that is possible.

Paxton is a total scumbag. Not shocking people aren’t chomping at the bit to vote for him.

A safe walk down the street would be nice..
That is a sad story, and I hate it happened. In an ideal country none of that would ever happen, but we don’t have that. I still say life here is pretty great comparatively. Unfortunately there will always be bad things that happen in any society. We should definitely be doing more to address it
