I always thought it was a fairly well known fishing destination, but the amount of times I’ve heard someone call it Della-croy is alarming

There’s a town about equidistant from Cincinnati and Columbus that is pronounced Roo see uhh

It is spelled Russia.

There's nothing confusing about saying the word Charters. It's Charters.

Louisville, GA is pronounced the same way.

Cairo, IL is pronounced like the Egyptian capital, but Cairo, GA is pronounced Kay-ro. Houston County, GA is pronounced Howston.

In French it’s pronounced Shart. Lot of out of towners will assume it’s done that way here.

Epes (eps) and Emelle (em-el). Both are in Sumter County, Alabama where I grew up. My favorite is Pass Christian, MS.
