He should take down the levee and replace it with sand bags. The parish distributes sand bags so they should not have an issue with citizens using them.

Shows just how much of a bitch SWB is and how easily her feelings gets hurt.

You idiots voted for her twice. You deserve this.

He could have an architect design him a 1' tall, decorative wall.
This is government bullying of a private citizen, over inconsequential minutiae. And the Mayor's office having a tantrum over Nak's reporting of it is grievous. Douglas Manship, sr., would have gone to battle.
Let's see if there are any balls left in the BR media.

in addition to Broome, someone else to vote against is Judge Timothy Kelly who rendered the decision to fine the landowner and make him remove his levee.

Let's discuss. Who would win in a fight? You could kick a field goal between Cantrell's two front teeth.. Does that count for anything?

There aren't. The city parish pays them tons for advertising so they aren't biting the hand.

Nak about to get Chawla’d
You have to wonder if Nak would do today what he did to Deedy a few years ago given the current climate. I have lost all respect for him in the past few years. He is out here knocking over town aldermann for Bawcomville but won't touch the high profiles in BR and State Gov. Maybe he can regain some respect with this.
How is crime/drainage not the #1a and #1b issue for the voter in the BR Metro area right now? And if it is, how in the hell did Broome go back in? This is rhetorical, of course. EBR GOP and State GOP are a joke and are as guilty as Broome. They never have their shite together and everyone who they put out to run is uninspiring/swampy/GOPe-RINOish.

From what I read yesterday the guy built a levee from high ground to the nearby RR right of way. It’s not around his home and it blocks the natural drainage flow along Ward’s Creek. It’s not a ring levee immediately around his home.
I would like to confirm if that’s the case before I condemn the judge.

Murphy Paul has pre-emptively hid behind a wall.

Me too…I defended this guy yesterday and I don’t think we had all of the facts.

Homeowner is clearly in flood zone AE at 20.8 foot (check LSU flood maps website out) elevation, when the flood elevation there is 24 (see contour lines)'
the neighboring subdivision is 28' and not in flood zone AE
his property backs up to Wards Creek. the two floods his property recently were the '16 flood and the record rain again in the ward's creek basin a few weeks back.
i am all for property owner's rights, but he could have built a levy around his house, but did so around his entire multi acre property.

I don't think Nakamoto and WBRZ was defending him just getting his side of the story.

Yep, he goes after rural, low level politicians or private citizens- all of whom deserve to be exposed. But he and the rest of the media completely ignore the massive corruption and failures that happen blocks away by much more deserving losers.

Tim Kelly is a pretty solid judge man

Rumor has it that two well connected (and well known) developers are in cahoots with Raiford and the mayor. They intend to get Guidry off the property, buy it and subdivide it. That land is worth a ton. This is how Baton Rouge is run. It's pay to play by a revolving door of unscrupulous developers who have been gaming the system (and the city) for years.

While I’m not a Broome fan, Nakamoto’s stories have a 40% accuracy rate at best
