I'm sure contraflow after a football game had nothing to do with that route...

ETA: And you rated it 5 stars. Classic.

To be clear, this was a chick in 2016.

Check out the barstool article.

We played MSU that night at 7pm. I'm not going to say for certain that that route was the only one available to get there, but the route presented in that article most likely was not possible.

Had he carried we would have likely seen bodies hit the floor. A damn shame he didnt rid the world of this scum.
hopefully, if he had a CCL, he wouldn't have had his gun on him while drinking at a bar. Glad to know you are ok breaking the law, I'm watching you

This area is awful. When I was in undergrad at LSU 3 guys jumped me and a buddy of mine, two with guns, one with a knife. I drunkenly threw my wallet at him and ran, other guy stayed and got pistol whipped and robbed. Terrible area.

I understand it technically isnt lsus responsibility, but frick man it is ridiculous how shite that area is surrounding the campus bars

And it isnt like that is in the actual ghetto at all

It is a pocket of ridiculous housing that causes all the issues

Did uber refund that?

Lyft will automatically do it sometimes if the driver makes a wrong turn
I would guess that is after a game and with contraflow, the only way to go

Literally in the middle of the projects. Is your son really liberal and thinks the media is to blame for stereotypes? He knows better now... glad he's ok.

Since you aren't familiar with the area.

The 5 or 6 apartment-style buildings to the right of the BR Housing Project sign are the only "projects" in that area. And its for disabled people.

But yes, Tigerland is basically non-students now and is not safe.

It is all essentially section 8 though correct? AKA the modern day project

I wish north gate would get developed and have more bar options for students and fans on Gameday. Tiger land sucks. It’s so far from everything. It would be nice to be able to walk to the bars in 5 mins from the parade grounds. Tiger land needs to go and bars need to just move to a better area. North gate is the best bet

I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of the Tigerland apartments accept Sec 8 vouchers.

I know when I lived in Sharlo the HOA forbade owners from accepting Sec 8.

This isn’t Tigerland. If your stepson doesn’t know not to walk around there, much less alone, at 1 AM, he probably shouldn’t be going out to bars. Me and my friends go to Tigerland and we’re 18 and always have a DD or uber. Split the cost between 3 or 4 people and it isn’t expensive at all. Hope your stepson is ok.

Should have walked down Nicholson instead, taken an Uber, or found a girl to bring him home.
