Can you assholes put the World Cup game on? No one cares about the aftermath of a little flooding and tree limbs falling. put the World Cup game back!

One of my friends experienced significant flooding in Kenner, so I’m one who doesn’t mind the news coverage. It’s bad in those spots

I am old enough to remember for a World Series during Hurricane Lili in 2002, they did a split screen of the World Series and Bob Breck talking about the storm and how people were going to die in Terrebonne Parish.
If you think Martin Folse taking calls was a riot, that was even more of a riot because people were calling in and bitching about putting the game on full screen without Bob's banter.

Several years ago Channel 12 in Shreveport interrupted an LSU-Auburn game for a thunderstorm in Oklahoma, which was at the very edge of its coverage area. People were calling in death threats and the police came and parked in front of the station for a while.

I flipped to Fox 8’s signal yesterday, and it looked like crap. The compression was so bad the players looked like they were surrounded by mosquitos with the MPEG-2 compression.
I wish Fox 8 would open up their ATSC 3.0 channel to being unencrpyted.
They could deliver a 1080p HDR signal at a very reasonable bit rate, but some broadcasters are standing firm on adding encryption to ATSC 3.0 signals and some devices are having issues with the encryption aspect of ATSC 3.0. In a case like last night, they might even have an issue where the encryption may need an internet signal. If your power and internet is out, you are screwed from tuning in.
