Good for you. You got a pay raise, your company told you how much they value you, and you know your market value if you need to bounce in the future.

Subtle "I am liked at work" brag.

I think you did the right thing. Going to a new company is always a risk. As you noted at the beginning, you like the company and the people. Yes, they went all corporate and fired you and made you interview to be re-hired, but the end result is that you got them to show their hand. They value you highly and feel shitty for how they handled you, and now you have a raise.

You made the decision prudently, not recklessly. No need to keep rehashing it. Be at peace that you made the best decision at the time with the information you had.

Moral of the story - You're not asking for nearly enough.

I read it because I’m bored and I enjoy negotiation and hearing about negotiation. You did well except that your company may be a sinking ship. Make and maintain relationships with other companies for when your co folds.
