Can't tell if you did the right thing yet. Only time will tell.
My warning signs that you think you didn't:
1. You said business has been slow for years.
2. You are the only American, besides your boss.
3. Consultant?? came in. Company restructured.
4. You and the wife are still worried about old company.

If business doesn't pick up quickly, keep the resume ready.

Sorry for the mistake, I didn’t read to well about it being basketball. I’m currently sitting st the bar at Saffron waiting on my entree. No work tomorrow hitting the golf links for a buddy’s wedding (May he Rest In Peace) this weekend

I think you got a nice raise, and they now realize how valuable you are.

You mention a couple of times concern about the long term health of the company, but I assume it didn't bother you that bad.

I read all that shite because I have a ginormous OT monitor, however my reading comprehension is shite and I really didn't understand what you were actually asking. "Did I frick up?" You stayed with a company that you like for more money, so I guess you did fine. Move on and by yourself a new bass boat.

Yes.

They know you are disloyal and will jettison you when they have to make a tough decision.

I went through a similar back and forth and stayed with my current company. But, it sounds like your current company is not a healthy one. I would not stay there.
