For serious? They really just gave a 15yo a handgun and let him have full access to it? Meaning it’s not locked in a safe or something.

Of course this thread turned into a political bitchfit from both sides. Of fricking course
At least both sides of an issue still get to post, comment, and have a sense of humor here.

Parents who have been brainwashed to believe that more guns in everyone's hands is the only way to honor the God given 2A.
And so you're taking gun ownership and 2A to also mean that it's acceptable to murder a bunch of people, or that those people think 2A means it's ok to murder people?
I grew up in Wisconsin where a large segment of the population hunts. A lot of kids grew up around guns, and used guns, and oddly enough this type of situation never happened. So the connection you're making is not supported by much in the way of facts.

The handgun was given to this sadistic shite last Friday as an early Christmas gift.
I need to see more about this. Your idiotic view of things does not hold much water to me.

Because the entire leftist mantra is "if it saves one life".
They'll support any stupid policy that stops a 1 in a billion event from happening. Even if it costs billions and puts us in long term debt.

I had my first gun at about age 8 - I have multiple firearms. I have one next to me right now. My father has had guns since he was the same age as I was when I had my first gun. My grandfather as well. None of us have ever shot anyone, but we've killed a lot of other stuff. This isn't a gun problem.

Keith Olbermann blames the shooting on Dave Portnoy:
I’m sorry, it’s time to put Olbermann in a padded cell before he shoots up a NASCAR event or the RNC. He has completely lost his fricking mind.

The father of the murderer could have said something similar a week ago, but now today he has to admit he allowed his 15-year old son to have access to a gun that he used to kill 4 of his classmates and injure a handful more with.

I thought the report was it was his dads and they were shooting it. The kid just posted that.
Either way the dad is probably fricked too.

More kids still die in car wrecks. So let’s ban cars. They can actually do more damage than a handgun as we have seen recently.

This brilliant comparison again? I’m all for regulating gun ownership and operation like we do vehicles. Annual registration, mandatory insurance, age restrictions, etc.

Won’t do shite. He can go to any corner in the bad part of his town and buy a gun for a couple hundred bucks. You cannot legislate evil, period.

Yeah we have learned letting an suv drive you thru a crowd is way more effective. I guess the suv doesnt have a conscious

Why do you want minorities and women to be unable to protect themselves?

You may have said this in slight jest, but in case you were serious, it's not weird at all. Tyranny has always backed down only when the tyrannized have shown ability and will to fight back. Guns create the ability.
For what it is worth, a gun isnt going to do shite to help defend you from true tyranny. If a government doesn't need you and you are causing trouble, you won't even hear or see the incoming missile from a drone strike until it is too late. Or they could poison your water supply.
However, we are all happily living in economic tyranny every day, celebrating our "freedoms".

Because the people who use guns for nefarious purposes are going to keep them registered & pay insurance
Just like all the cars on the road with no registration, expired inspection stickers & no insurance
Kinda like age restrictions worked to stop that 11 year old from carjacking people in Chicago
