There’s much better ways to accomplish what he was trying to do than posting that picture.
As Governor, sitting down for a steak dinner like 7 blocks from where dozens of people just got mowed down in a terrorist attack is an incredibly bad look. Really dumb.

The lift was probably left for on going construction. I am sure it is a pain in the arse to load and unload heavy equipment in the French quarter

ehh, not anywhere in Houston on NYE that would be as densely as populated as Bourbon Street.
Internationally known being I think the bigger issue. Finding 30 people to hit isn’t a challenge but the whole world knows this location

Sorry, if this has already been answered, but the truck crashed into a man lift. What was it doing out in the street? And can that be contributed to saving lives?
It’s bourbon street. Even when the street is open, the traffic is slow and mild.

Lots of construction happening the further down on bourbon you go (as the driver was traveling). This was just some equipment left out by crews.

100%. I posted it earlier, but the man lift stopping his truck and the quick action from NOPD and LSP saved at least 50 lives in my honest opinion. This could have been significantly worse.

There's your answer. This game is gonna end up being moved or pushed way back.

They’re probably going to Metairie where there’s far less distractions right now.

Yea construction is a block down but also there was that car on fire in front of the Sonesta right before Christmas so they may have been working on balconies effected by that

Also seems possible they’d move to a hotel out of the city for the night if everything is locked down around there

I’m guessing they are headed to practice -
They left downtown at maybe 630-7ish yesterday

Where did they go?
Probably to dinner.
Team has to eat and likely don't want them walking down a crime scene. Find somewhere to serve 200 on short notice and get on the bus.

The game is at 3pm tomorrow. They wouldn't be going anywhere at this hour the night before.

Nope. You'd be doordashing all that food.
