It's a fancy way of saying employees taking on new duties as assigned without additional compensation.

It just now has a fancy name.

To shore something up is to bolster or strengthen a partition so that collapse or caving in is prevented from occurring. In construction projects that have sub- grade basements or parking decks, shoring wall contractors are hired build them. I have seen them as built in holes 40-50 feet deep for high rises. So yes, the correct term use is “shore” up.

you ever were asked if you were "aligned" or to evaluate your teams' "synergy"....well we've now reached the 3rd heaven for even more alignment that will produce even more synergy outflow...

“Healthy tension”
“Layered engagement”

I’m actually willing to go at it, shot for shot corporate colloquialism, with anyone on this board…

Example: "Hey Billy, we love that you are our purchasing manager but we need to have you run this project that you have zero knowledge on"

It's a corporate way to reassign someone temporarily or have them "stretch" into a role they don't want to actually hire for. It's also bullshite because Billy usually gets no pay advantage and ends up sweating his arse off to make sure a project he isn't equipped for doesn't go south.

Cadence is so old it doesn’t even register. Ours use “green shoots”. I have no fricking idea what that means.

Use wavelength or period or interval. We’re just travelballing synonyms at this point.

Well now I have to ask - when is this used in a sentence at work?

‘Hey I’m getting quietly hired to do Bill job, he is a lazy arse”

Edit - nvm explained above. Billy and Bill are crushing it

Isn’t it “sure this up”, like make “sure” it’s correct?

I’ve never heard “shore/sure this up” until I opened this thread and I was thinking the same thing hahah

Oh yeah we use this.
Instead asking clients "how regularly do you want to meet?" You say "What's your desired meeting cadence?" Then they think you're all smart and shite

I would reply, “Just follow the rhythm of our drums.”
