I was mowing my lawn in Lafayette in the heat of the summer. My wife had just left and moved back to her home up north. It was extra hot. I drove east a few miles outside Laf. and went in this bar and got an ice cold budweiser. (I hadn't drank anything alcoholic in 16 years).

Best drink I ever had, so dang good.

Bought another one and went home.

If you can get same day or near same day budweiser and get it ice cold. It is as crisp as a pear cider. Only lighter.

Before being banned for it, I'd post the odd FBD: thread on the food board with an early morning budweiser

Lemon lime Quick-kick after a long basketball practice. Better than Gatorade. Much better than 10k and Powerade.

My brother's brother in law, who he lives next to has a well.. It was shut off about 2 or 3 years ago, but there is no bullshite about it. Well water is delicious.

But several years ago I was dehydrated and just couldn't seem to quench my thirst. I got some pedialyte and in that moment, it was the most refreshing thing I ever drink.

We used to help my grandpa bail hay, which was an all day affair lumping square bales onto trailers and into barns. My grandma would always make sun tea and I remember this one time she put a bunch of spearmint leaves in it and it was like spirits were talking to me through my taste buds.

Second Saturday of dove season when I was 11 or 12. Sat in a cornfield near the prison in atmore Alabama all afternoon under a blazing sun. No water, nothing. No birds either. My older brother and his friend picked me up and we drove to a little country store. They had one of those old chest type coolers. I took out a chocolate soldier and tapped the bottom to mix it and it was so cold when I popped the top off the bottle it froze up in the neck. I downed it and then two more just like it and nothing before or since has tasted close to that good. I slept in the truck all the way back to mobile.

When I was in middle school in the 90s back when some football coaches were irresponsible fricktards and we got one water break during 3 hour football practice in 99 degree heat, dad would pick me up with 2 glass bottles of Coke in the cooler and I'd have them both down before we got out of the parking lot

It was right after Katrina and we were living out of our heliport with no generator in Belle Chasse providing air support for the Plaquemines Parish government. The Parish president got us IDs issued so we could get ice, mre's, and permission to enter one of the few operating convenience stores in the parish(which were closed to the public). It just so happened to be the State Oil gas station right before the Belle Chasse tunnel. After a week a working all day in the heat drinking tepid bottled water we got to go into that gas station and buy whatever we wanted. That ice cold 16 oz Coke was so delicious... to think about it it was almost like a little bit of normalcy had returned.

Lol shower water... I went trout fishing with my buddy when I was a kid we didn't tell our parents were were going. Hiked so far up the mountains it got dark we came back the next afternoon cop was in driveway. He told me to go inside and talk to my dad and loaded up my buddies bike and told him to get in the car and gave him a ride home. I walked inside and everyone was eating lunch and my dad wouldn't let me eat or drink told me to go to my room. So u went to room I asked if I could take a shower mom said yes I chugged that shower water and it was amazing. Never had a drink tasted so good.

I played a double header soccer game on the gulf coast in August. I bout passed out in the 85th minute of game 2. The ball girl brought some ice cold water. It was thirst quenching. I probably ran 20+ miles that day.
The other time was a cold beer budlight after running a 5k offered right as I got done.
