Coors Light after a full day of yard work in July.

That'll make a man religious.

I was at a family camp this week and heard 2 different people from Baton Rouge and Houma use this phrase for snowcones.

It’s not wrong but I hadn’t heard this before. Is this the preferred nomenclature in LA?

Yeah I think that is a Louisiana thing. We had a little Hawaiian shaved ice stand near my house in my hometown, so I've always called it a shaved ice. Some of my older family members call them snowcones. Except for my Uncle who has ties to Louisiana, and he calls them snowballs.

I played travel baseball in my early teens long before viral video parents attacking umpires was the norm and you people started giving kids names like Jaxton and Paxton. Anyway, we were playing a tournament in Jackson, Mississippi I believe a week before the Fourth of July. Our game started at 9 AM, they had not opened the concession stands yet, and nobody brought anything to drink. So the parents went out and got a couple of cases of water and Gatorade, and I remember drinking like a passionfruit Powerade, and still to this day remember that being the most refreshing drink I ever had

It's the same as a Dr. Pepper.

Given it don't drink cokes... I can spare the occasional sugar.

Besides.... It could be heroin.

A snow cone and a snowball are close but not the same. I've never ordered a snowball and gotten a snow cone. And vice versa.
