Back at the old farm home in Arkansas we had well water. My dad had saved a glass tomato juice bottle after drinking the juice, (32oz prolly) cleaned it up, filled it with that well water and set back in fridge.

It was a bad hot summer day, riding my bike home from two a days practice almost dead. I get to the kitchen, spin the top off that makeshift water bottle and start chugging. That cold well water going down, while some spilled out running down my chest is still the most refreshing drink of anything I’ve ever had.

I still remember it like yesterday and it’s been over 25 years.

I know dear Facebook.

Drinking from the hose pipe as a kid during the summer.

Each one was magical.

Or water from the water bottle at football practice.

Each one was magical.

Went fishing on Friday when it was 102 degrees. The ice cold Gatorade I had in the ice chest waiting was definitely nice

Water hose on a hot summers day when I was a kid. We lived outside, that was our refreshment. Sometimes I would save a quarter and buy a Grape Nehi. That was pure luxury.

I just changed a fan and a light fixture in our sunroom yesterday with no A/C and 12 foot ceilings in the 100+ degree heat here in Bham. Started at around 1 and finished about 4:15 and cleaned everything up. That 4:30 Andygator tasted better than sex.

Most recent was one day last summer when my lawnmower was broken and I had to use the old push mower on the whole yard. Each time I would finish one of the large section I would go to the cooler and chug a water. The last one I pulled out a blue Gatorade and chugged about half of the 32 oz.

It was glorious. So cold that it hurt, but there was no way in hell I could stop. Even if I wanted to. I didn't want to.

Were you touching yourself while doing this? Cause I may or may not be touching myself as I read this.

Done that before as well. Used to be an amusement park near Cherokee decades ago, not sure if it still exists.
