Our parents had it so much better music wise. Cash, Jennings, Nelson, Jones, etc.

my PawPaw verbatim saying it isn’t country music if it has drums in it and he did not consider those you listed above country because of it.

No offense but your PawPaw was a moron.

The guys comment was more personality based than music. Sailed right past you.

That said, both fantastic musicians

No it didn't. I thought maybe it was both, but I haven't looked into Tyler's political leanings.

But I can see the familial similarities in their voices. And I could hear Isbell singing I'm Your'n.

Do people look into this before they decide if they like people's music?

No, but if I know a music artist is an American hating progressive, or pushes their ideals, I’ll skip out on listening to them

Most of what's coming out on your country radio today is absolute shite. We need more of the Tyler Childers types to clear the deck, much in the same way Randy Travis and Dwight cleared the deck back in the day.

It is out there, it just doesn't get mainstream play. Do yourself a favor and follow WesternAF and GemsonVHS on YouTube. They've led me to a lot of great music from really good singer/songwriters.

but if you act like the music you like is somehow superior to the music everyone else likes, then you are a progressive hipster.

What if you think David Allan Coe is superior to any music you like?

No, but you are. Country music was Country Western, and it didn’t have drums. “Bro” country of the time added drums. When acts first started using drums thr Grand Ol Opry had to hide the drummers

Your’re welcome, you learned something today while trying to act like an ignorant prick

People need to understand that shite happens. I flew to Nashville to see Garth in Nissan Stadium two years ago. The first two opening acts performed and then a monsoon hit, canceling the show. I was pissed but I understood and I got a refund. One girl there, I remember, flew in from Alaska. No one sued because guess what, shite happens.

A little different if he was too drunk to perform.

I’d be suing

Sometimes I think people intentionally use the dumbest analogies they can come up with just to see if they can get people to agree with it

I like MW but not a great look that he hasn't come out and said Sorry or anything. This is how you should do this if you have to cancel a show...

He was drunk as a skunk which is why he was pulled before the concert started. He could barely stand up he was so fricked up.

If the other 99% of a certain minority are ok calling each other that, then I don’t see the big deal and never have.

Not racist for using a word they seem to love calling each other.
