Lawsuit filed against country singer Morgan Wallen after canceled concert
JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — A Prentiss County woman has filed a lawsuit after country singer Morgan Wallen canceled Sunday evening’s concert in Oxford.
The woman filed the lawsuit on behalf of all affected patrons “who incurred expenses in connection with Wallen’s failure to perform at his ‘One Night at A Time Global Tour’ at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi on Sunday, April 23, 2023.”
She’s seeking compensatory damages and wants her suit to become a class action lawsuit.
The singer performed Saturday evening but canceled Sunday’s performance shortly before its scheduled start time.
Wallen claimed he lost his voice and could not perform. Concertgoers have been promised refunds.

Any tickets transferred or resold on Stubhub will be returned to your account so that your refund will include your entire purchase. 100%. This is where I jump into the thread, because Cody Johnson is the real deal. He was a pro bull rider for most of his early years and only started playing music as a secondary career after getting hurt one too many times. He's a legit cowboy and his band consists of guys that actually own farms and ranches, long before they started playing music
He and his lead guitarist (who is a legitimate rancher/cowboy) actually write their songs, since that matters too.
Why are we letting a Death Cab for Cutie fan lecture us about ANYTHING, especially music?

And yet hasn’t showed up with a 20 second scratchy voice video apologizing. He could put the whole thing to bed if he was good enough to wait til a few mins out to cancel the show because he was on the fence. Clearly he was capable of some speaking.
