It must have already been removed, but them showing the entire transitioning process would have been nice.

Yeah. She should have been lynched as soon as she stepped out of the water.

And replaced with a white mermaid.

A cartoon mermaid is about as fictional as things get, this guy has lost his fricking mind if he is trying to pinpoint accuracy of the story and timeline

Maybe the fact that she could swim was where he saw a big misstep

The Little Mermaid” is being criticized by a prominent diversity advocate for its erasure of slavery in the Caribbean.

Funny story, the original book little mermaid was set in the Denmark, not the Caribbean. So it seems they first had to erase all of the Danish culture.

While slavery is an important topic in history

It's an important topic in current events.

America did not end slavery after the civil war. It just outsourced it.

Every single person who wrote, read, approved, or was employed by the company who wrote that article loves slavery.

Everything you use that has either batteries or computer chips in it is the direct result of current day child slave labor and rape of the environment. So shut the frick up or quit enjoying the fruits of your dedicated and demanded current day slave system.

Every single environmentalist, government employee, and activist who demands we discuss slavery and the environment while owning an iPhone, using a computer, driving an electric car, or buying pretty much anything made in China from clothes to power tools enjoys slave labor everyday and is a hypocrite that should be immediately dismissed and reminded of their hypocrisy.

We need to cut off the supply of the perpetually offended. No more federal student loans for non-STEM degrees. You want your Gender Studies or CRT major? Pay for it yourself.

Yeh, why should we teach children that it's possible for all races to live together in harmony? Much better to instill rage, hatred, and animosity towards anyone of different color. They should have trapped the mermaid, and sentenced her to a lifetime of tracking schools of fish underwater for them to hunt, having to wrangle up her own kind for them to feast on! That's how I want my children's movies to play out.

How about this. Like most Disney movie theories, the Little Mermaid doesn't take place in the past. It takes place in a futuristic, post apocalyptic utopia where mankind has wiped itself out and restarted with a higher appreciation for life, and much greater wisdom, mainly resulting in the elimination of technology. Nuclear fallout created the mermaids and magical octopi. Boom, problem solved.

Communists desire to destroy everything successful. When they come to power, they kill everyone who supported them who has a higher IQ than 90.

Western Culture has to be destroyed, whiteness has to be demonized, losers have to be glorified.

Funny thing is, they will take a $20M loss on the project when all is said and done.

Pretty sure it was set under the sea in a mythical world.

It was written by a Dutchman but like the movies, it’s doesn’t take place in our actual world or in any country.

But they get credit for diversity, which apparently in this new economy is better than cash.

I wonder how people would react to a "Little Mermaid" movie that closely reproduces the actual original story. It doesn't have a happy ending and there is no singing.

Actually the original version has too many Christian undertones and heavenly rewards for todays left. Original version cliff notes the mermaid does not marry the prince. her sisters bring her a dagger to kill the prince in order to return her to mermaid form. Instead she decides she cannot kill him and throws herself into the ocean at sunrise - dies and becomes a spirit of the air for her good deeds, with a chance to go to heaven.

The left would hate it.

You don't know many Progressives in real life, do you?

Racial harmony is the LAST thing they want.

Me, talking to a time traveler from the future:

"Did you say Virtual Coins are the currency of the future? That's believable."

"No no, virtue coins. You earn them with virtue signaling. Limitless profit."
