She had a warrant outstanding. Other than her self-professed claim to the officer that it was a mistake, I don't see where she ever once said there was no warrant issued for her arrest.

Was the officer supposed to just take her word and let her go? "I'm sorry ma'am. You're right. This computer which has access to warrants statewide, and my dispatcher who [likely] confirmed it, are absolutely wrong about your warrant. Have a great day." Yea, that's not how that works, at all.

Now, the rest of the stuff sounds over the top, and she certainly should file complaints against all involved and seek the return of her money by suit if necessary.

There's a moral here, though: pay your tickets, take care of your business, and this shite doesn't happen.

That would be light years better than throwing an otherwise law-abiding citizen into prison and not letting them contact anyone.

Or Lord forbid it was a clerical error that didn't remove the ticket. I have personally had this happen. My expensive lesson, if you pay a fine or ticket keep the receipt in case you ever need it again.

So what you are saying is that all of the independent companies in and around North La are criminals? Considering that most of these people take cash or check and not debit or credit they tend to carry large amounts of cash with them. Most people in Houston carrying large amounts of cash? Sure. Most people in North La? Not so fast my friend.

After reading all that shite, she definitely exaggerated a lot of that story in my opinion.
