Wall of text FB post that is being spread around Monroe tonight. I had heard about a parent at OCS going missing, well, she had been arrested. Crazy story:
quote:

I AM FOUND!!! Thank you to everyone that went searching for me, and helped Hannah Gray and Karen in locating my last steps to help lead them to finding me… These last several days have been anguishing for me – and in an effort to keep people from gossiping, I decided that I would post this to social media friends, to alert you to the facts of what has happened. The following is a brief synopsis of what occurred over the last 48 hours: On Tuesday, after lunch, I picked up my teaching balls to head out to OCS to teach some of my high school students their private tennis lessons. On my way to the school, I had determined to go to the Post Office on Shannon Street, and then to the Sonic to get myself and students ice water, and finally make a large deposit at Progressive to cover automatic drafts that I knew were about to occur. I had just left the post office and basically ‘zig-zagged’ from one parking lot into the Sonic parking lot. While trying to decide whether or not to go thru the drive thru – or to pull into a car slot, I noticed a newer police suburban with lights on behind me. In an effort to quickly get out of their way, I drove straight thru the Sonic parking lot and onto North 18th Street to give them space. The police vehicle continued behind me, so I pulled into the Regions Bank parking lot. A black female officer approached me with a strong “Alpha” attitude, and requested my license, insurance, and registration. I asked her why she had pulled me over and she told me that I had made an illegal turn ‘back there’. I asked at ‘what point did that happen?’, because I had just left the post office and turned from one parking lot into another – and when she didn’t answer she said that she had been following me for quite a while. I knew this to not be truthful – but didn’t argue with her. She left and approached my car again and asked me to step out of my car. I complied and next thing I knew she was throwing me against the car, hand cuffing me, and reading me my rights. I asked her what in the world was this about – and she told me that I had a warrant for my arrest due to an unpaid traffic ticket. I told her that this was a mistake, and suggested that we call my attorney and allow this to be taken care of – It had to be a mistake. She began using vile language to tell me to basically ‘shut up’ and she wasn’t willing to converse with me. I told her that I needed to retrieve my belongings from the car – She asked what did I have – I answered, my handbag, car keys, and a bank deposit. She told me she would get my things after she put me in the car. She did so – and then retrieved my belongings and kept them with her. She had handcuffed me, and my hands were bruising from how tight they were. I asked if she would mind loosening them, that they were extremely painful. She told me they were not made for my F***** comfort. I decided that I not need to speak to her any further, but could feel my eyes stinging with tears… I went to the MPD for booking – which at the time was very chaotic… I asked the attendant if I could please call my attorney and get this whole thing sorted out… I was told to shup up and sit down – and wait my turn. (In language fit for the slums.) I was booked, and complied with everything they asked – Before I knew it – I was sent to Richwood and booked there as well. It also was chaotic with vile language and treatment. I asked to please make my phone call, that my family had no idea where I was… Again – I was told to shut up. I was cuffed to a bench for a while, and then a female officer approached me and told me she was taking me to Richland Parish Detention Center. I asked why – and was told that this is where they send female inmates. I promised to make this short – and obviously it isn’t – I apologize… I arrived at Richland and was subsequently cuffed to a bench where I waited four – five hours before I was ever spoken to. A female officer walked by, stopped, and asked my name. I told her ‘Kelly Taylor’. She uttered and expletive and walked into an office. Minutes later she came out with two white females, and again asked my name. I told her again – and she began a subsequent list of questions regarding my height, weight, race, age, hair color, eye color, bday, etc… I was sitting right in front of her – and finally she let loosed several expletives… She looked at the two white women and exclaimed – that ‘somebody had certainly ‘f’d’ up – and that they were her witnesses. She held out a file with the photo of a black female, 5’8”, 185 lbs, with a criminal list pages long. She told me that she had been trying to find this person all of this time, and obviously, this person wasn’t here. I didn’t understand at first – but she told me that evidently, they had printed the wrong file for me, and that she was going to have to go see if she could have the correct file sent. Meanwhile – I remained cuffed to the chair… Another hour or so passed, and she came back with the correct paper work, and I asked her if she would mind sharing what my papers said. She told me that I had an expired inspection sticker ticket from 2008 that had never been paid. I told her that I had received several tickets over the last few years and no one had ever said anything about that before. How could this be? She told me that I would have to wait for court to see the judge before anything could be determined.

TLDR: Woman arrested for "illegal u-turn" in parking lot by black female cop who said she had followed for a while, even though woman just left post office. Woman gets booked for "unpaid inspection sticker ticket" from 2008. Not put in front of judge. Detained illegally. Money gets stolen from her by police.

Classic Monroe PD.

End of story two replies down

I was deliced and given an orange suit. I was made to stay on a metal bench until court was to occur (which I was told would be at 4 oclock in the morning)… I began to fill ill and was forced to be throw up in a communal toilet in view of the inmates while they walked around. Not once did an authority ask if I was okay… Two inmates offered words of kindness… I remain cuffed to the toilet past 4 am, and wasn’t called for court. One of the nice inmates went to get a guard and asked if I could be put back on the ‘cot’… A young white guard came and moved me – never asking how I was. I asked her why I hadn’t been taken to court – she gave me an expletive, and told me that she didn’t know my expletive… I asked again if there was any way to use a phone, and explained that my family didn’t know where I was – and that there was a huge mistake taking place – I wasn’t supposed to be here. She again gave me a line of expletives that suggested that everyone there isn’t supposed to be there… My family had been searching for me due to an alert from one of my students – and at my disappearance making 24 hours, they went to the police station. The police collected data and began to run an Amber Alert on my missing. They told my family that it didn’t look good – and to be prepared for no good news if and when they found me… My sister and daughters were distraught… Meanwhile – I was praying that they were going to file a missing person’s alert – because in my heart, I knew that this was going to be the only way I would be found… The officer contacted my sister later last night with word that they had found me. He paused she said for a full 30 seconds before admitting to her where he had located me. He was embarrassed, and explained to them to return to the police station – and he helped them get me retrieved from Richland Parish. They said that he was apologetic, embarrassed and very kind. Once I was returned, I inquired about my belongings that had been taken from my vehicle. My handbag and keys were returned – but there was no bank deposit – no spending cash – not even a penny of change to be found… All of my money was gone… every dime that I had… I was robbed on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 at 2:15 p.m… I was robbed by the people that we have been consistently told to support and uphold respect for… It was suggested that I file a complaint against the arresting officer – but warned that there might be repercussions from this complaint – as it was my word against hers… Not to mention – I was passed through so many hands via incorrect paperwork, there was no obvious person of suspect. I have been violently nauseated, but showered, slept for a few hours in my own bed – and this morning was told that I would meet with a detective from Internal Affairs to relay my story in hopes that he can locate any ‘improper behavior’ among the officers… There is a silver lining however… I arrived home around 12:30 this morning – following thirty fours of nightmare… At 12:30 this morning Rhyan Emery began contractions and felt the first trickles of water breaking… By 7:30 this morning, she was in full blown labor and admitted to St. Francis… We are told that my new grandson will arrive by dinnertime tonight… God is merciful – He gave my friends and family the insight to react to locate me… He allowed me to be returned before a miracle was to occur, and insured that I be present for that miracle…. Currently – I am very weak from no water or food, and bruised pretty badly – physically as well as emotionally and financially… But I will not allow this trauma to dictate how this day will end… Internally, I remind myself that this has not been the worse forty eight hours of my life… I have unfortunately suffered worse in the past – and am not ashamed to admit this to myself as well as to my God… I am about to be a grandmother again… To God be the Glory! And the best part of today is…. I AM Found!!! Amazing Grace – How Sweet the Sound … That Saved a Wretch Like Me! I Once was Lost – But Now… I AM FOUND!! Amazing Grace…

Tl;dr summary:

99% of cops are vile pigs who are no better- and actually pose a much more imminent threat to the average innocent civilian- than most hardened criminals.

The Monroe police would have taken the money if the wrong case file showed money could be seized.

To believe or not to believe they had the wrong case file on her, that is the question.

A large deposit of cash? Who does this in 2016? If she had her shite stolen, that is fricked up, but I don't have a ton of sympathy for people that do this in this day and age when the majority of it is from illegal and likely untaxed proceeds in the first place.

ETA: @ all the tax cheats down voting this post.

Even then, I'm sure most of it goes unclaimed for tax purposes.

So, she was arrested for a bogus charge and cuffed to a bench for 24 hours with no phone call...only to be robbed by the arresting thug after they figured out her mistake.

Bad cops and frustrating bureaucracy are just a part of life, but that's pretty bad if true.
