Is this commonplace for someone in her situation to do?

Christine Wonsley has filed a petition to open the estate of her deceased son, Nolan Xavier Wells, and serve as its administratrix, saying the estate assets would consist “solely of claims for damages resulting from the circumstances surrounding his death.”
Wonsley signed the petition on the day of her son’s funeral, attended by hundreds. The petition was filed that same day in Jackson County Chancery Court. It would allow her to file a lawsuit for damages on behalf of her son’s estate should others be found responsible for his death. No cause of death has been released in the ongoing investigation.
If granted, administratrix status would allow Wonsley to file a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of her son’s estate.

I guess with the Kamala Harris campaign shutdown he's gonna do something to make money
I can only hope that at some point they place a teleprompter in front of him during a presser.

But specifically the girl he was with has been widely reported that she has been cleared

The GFM is in her name, so it would have to be a $400K bill.

If it is found he was drunk and drowned, she will sue the families of his friends because they should have taken care of him. She will sue the NPS for their unsafe island.

Crump Will Reveal Nolan Wells’ Independent Autopsy Findings in Chicago on Wednesday
Is that enough time to get the riots and looting planned?

Hang on, let me put together a defense for the families. This should take a while...
"Wells was 18 years old. He was legally considered an adult. Nobody had any legal responsibility to take care of him."
Bruh, I'm never going to get that 10 seconds of my life back.

All it takes is half of a jury of people who read social media comments all day.

At the naacp conference with his mom in attendance. frick all those race beating pieces of shite. I feel for Nolan but I find it hard to feel sorry for that half breed of a mother of his and all this racebaiting

Theyre going after any adults who provided the alcohol
Which, considering all the boats and all the alcohol and all the coolers that were out there, they will actually have to find someone who handed him a beer
Fault them for providing alcohol to a minor who contributed to his death
And have enough witnesses to testify to that beyond a reasonable doubt, which on a day where everybody was drinking, and there are a lot of people out there on the water,
Which will be impossible to meet with our legal standards
then crump and sharpton will encourage her to go after the biggest payday with a civil law suit,, so some baw will lose his 45 foot cruiser at worst

Boat owner Will be named in the pending suit. It’s coming but it would be tacky to file prior to the funeral.

this is how this is going to play out:
The family is going to burn through every dollar in that GoFundMe, and probably plenty of their own money, out of spite over what is more than likely to have been a tragic accident than some grand racial conspiracy.
Meanwhile, Crump and Sharpton will turn it into another publicity spectacle, collect their fees, bolster their standing with the same gullible audience, and move on to the next case. As will all the vile scum who've latched onto this case via the internet for clout and to stir the pot.
Instead of grieving the terrible loss of their son in peace, this family is choosing to turn Ocean Springs and the state of Mississippi into the villain. I just hope they save enough of that GoFundMe money to move away afterward; not because the town drove them out through racism, but because living there after publicly smearing the entire community would should be humiliating.

I think he is just asking why there are hardly any reports of people seeing him between the time his friends left and the time he went missing.
Stupid people assume if it's not on social media or the news, it doesn't exist.
Everyone is not a media whore. Some people tell their story to the police and that's it.

I don't know this because I'm not involved in the investigation but I know how they work, and I've seen these sort of things before.
Trust me if the police had found someone they could pin it on they would have done so .
Because that would protect them from all the criticism, the shitstorm that's about to come out on them for not finding a white person to pin it on

I’m surprised Wendell Pierce hasn’t chimed in or offered money. He seems to be another New Orleans-based race baiter.

This is a personal injury case, likely against the boat owner/operator. That’s why Crump is involved. No murder here. A murder wouldn’t pay.
