Must be a "I want it all" person and given everything in life.

I think what I love most about these threads is that Millenials and Boomers are exactly the same whiny self-centered pricks, just a few decades apart in age.
I love the shitasses in the middle who act like they are above the fray and different while posting something that proves they are just like everybody else.

Your pay is still likely related to your previous salary.
Employers know what millennials make by industry and function. They know what the have to offer to get them to switch employers and don’t offer more than that.
Has the concept of “getting your foot in the door” been forgotten? I came out of the army in the early 90s (during a recession no less) and got a job making a whopping $5.50 per hour. I busted my arse, paid my dues, and worked my way up to now where I’m driving a $40,000 company truck and managing a product support territory worth $4mil. I’m not rich. But I live better than most.
There’s nothing special about me. If I can do it, anyone can. You just have to own your shite, work your arse off, and realize everything is your responsibility and nothing is owed to you nor will it be given to you.

Higher education is a racket.
Millennials have been taught that pay is not a direct result of production.
Rinse, repeat.

If you can’t get a good job right now it’s nobody’s fault but your own. Maybe stop wasting your time on a pity party and whining about how “hard” it is for your generation. Nobody owes you shite. The sooner you figure that out and start getting on with your life, the better your life will be. Grow up and own your shite.
Well, said.

So until they “recover” the rest of us have to endure their unrelenting whining about it?
Is it whining to consider the factual circumstances surrounding their economic situation?
Absolutely, especially when you’re blaming it, like all your problems, on someone else.

No. “Getting your foot in the door” is exactly why they had to take the lower starting salaries in the first place.

More people going to college=less people in trades that actually make money (welder, plumber, electrician). Plus the prevalence of “gap years” and post college “backpacking for a year” types now compared to previous generations.
A more interesting study would compare people with useful bachelors degrees (nursing, engineering, etc) from then to now.

Saying “the financial crisis caused economic problems” is hardly a blame game unique to millennials.

Everyone starts out low. Every generation starts out low. But they didn’t whine about it and blame it on past generations.

You know what the best part is? I'm gonna get to watch one group die and spend the rest of my life keeping my foot on the head of the other.
Should I prepare you a coffin or a boot?

yeah, what was special was that you did it in a better economy. That's kinda what the thread is about.

This is all absolutely true but depending on the economy you could still do all that and end up with 20% less income earned (see thread title) because of getting a late start with a shitty economy.
None of this is boomers' fault though.

Some start out lower than others. That’s simply mathematical and economic fact.

I haven’t said a single thing that could be construed as blaming prior generations.

You keep saying you're not asking for this or that while at the same time saying they're hoarding money, implying they shouldn't keep the money they have.
But you won't say how they should get rid of it so it can get into your hands. Would you care to elaborate on that or will you just run in the same circle again?
How should that money end up in your account instead of theirs, and explain why that would be beneficial for both you and them (as it obviously should be a voluntary transaction)?
I summarized a article and used the term 'hoarding' and it really triggered you.
I implied that companies should take less profits and return more to their employees, is that really that hard to grasp?
At no point did I ever say it should come back to me personally or asked for a handout, that is all in your mind.

Dude, you so full of shite thinking this or came from a broken home. I am a boomer and gave everything to my two kids. I knew we couldn't afford more kids even after we were told to just add more water to the gravy. We did without a lot for our kids. So piss off.
Oh. bet your Mom and Dad have real pride in you. Guess you have your hand sticking out right now.
Ok boomer

Guess some people haven't saw 16.5% interest on a new car or !!.5% on a house.
Got to love the early 1980's.

Boomers and gen x have had a very poor showing in here
They are arguing against statistical data points with emotional talking points, while complaining about statistical factual data being existent
