Apparently a GenZ, anti-cartel movement.

If that's true, then props to them. That's courageous.

Those cops just left their boy behind. He's going to have some harsh words with his buddies.

It's the same DemSoc middle class types in Mex City....the rest of the country is either serfs to the cartels or they are in the cartels.

I hope Mexico breaks into 4 states and all them fight each other until there are only 10 people left total

The internet has made it easy to whip this generation into protests at a moments notice. Outside players want unrest in every country it doesn't matter if left or right is in power they want chaos.

On top of that, if Mexico plunges into true war-torn chaos (more than now) even Brandon the Builder's wall in Game of Thrones wouldn't be able to hold back the masses.

A we could with ease and that’s the best time to declare an emergency and totally close the border . We can go into Mexico and declare a 30 mile safe zone but that border better be tight

Cartels overthrowing the government?

That already happened when Sheinbaum was elected.

Yeah, we can "Declare it to be safe".

Reality comes into play, though.

They have been protesting gentrification (their words, not mine) for the last 6 or 7 years now. The protests generally take place in the nicer areas of Mexico City - Contessa, Zona Rosa, etc.- where tourists tend to visit. They are mad at outsiders coming into the city and buying up neighborhoods and changing the cultural make-up. Most of the sign say negatives about people coming in who don't speak Spanish. I was in Mexico City 4 years ago, and this was the hot topic with locals.

If it’s the average Joe tired of cartels and corruption, they gonna need a lot of weapons and willingness to kill.

Sometimes that’s the only option left.

Been a bunch of locally elected leaders assassinated this year running on platforms to fight back the cartels. And that coward president of theirs hasn’t done shite about it.

That’s because the cartels are her business partners. I’m sure they get their share of illicit laundered tax money.
