That already happened when Sheinbaum was elected.

They have been protesting gentrification (their words, not mine) for the last 6 or 7 years now. The protests generally take place in the nicer areas of Mexico City - Contessa, Zona Rosa, etc.- where tourists tend to visit. They are mad at outsiders coming into the city and buying up neighborhoods and changing the cultural make-up. Most of the sign say negatives about people coming in who don't speak Spanish. I was in Mexico City 4 years ago, and this was the hot topic with locals.

If it’s the average Joe tired of cartels and corruption, they gonna need a lot of weapons and willingness to kill.

Sometimes that’s the only option left.

Its kinda nice seeing mexican cartel revolutionaries waving the Mexican flag while rioting in Mexico and not the US.
