Why would you post this without some idea of where you live?

Don’t overthink it. Just go to a neighborhood barber (not a franchise hair place).

If you are looking for a franchise that’s a cut above (you’re welcome), then take a look at Boardroom Salon. They’re in at least 2 states I’ve lived in. I’m not sure if they’re in Louisiana if that’s a place you’ve been unable to escape from.

Troy gave me the best haircut I ever had but I am a cheap bastard and go to the <$20 barbershop instead.

I go to Sportclips and ask for a number 7. Works for me.

ETA: 7 is the setting on the electric clipper they use.

I know there is controversy on this topic ( ie cheap Supercuts vs pricey stylist

Not in BR area, but don't rule out a stylist. I now go to the same stylist my wife(no pics) uses, and it's only $20 + tip.

If he’s talking about the one I’m thinking of his name is Jeff.

The girl who cuts my hair isn't taking new people, but I am glad I started going to her. There is a big difference between a $45 haircut an a $16 haircut.

I don’t care what Jeff is, but if shim is good I want to know

When I bring #4 somewhere no one wants to cut his hair bc of the cowlicks - last time the barber flat out told me no

Yeah, $29...

Bet she charges more from you as an "aggravation fee".
