There is no way economy is sold out with first wide open. I fly 50-100 flights a year and I've never seen that.

United will show you the seat map for any flight. I could probably get one for Delta if I knew the flight number. AA/Alaska is harder to get.

$130 for a first class upgrade on a last minute booked flight? LMAO. NO way in hell.
A flight in mid July from Nola to LA is $367 for basic economy and $847 for first class.
