Shoukd be easy to do. Just lobby for some leeway or near independence for schools in the St. George area and she'd be home free.

The only change she made was that she made it part of official police policy that the cops have to warn people before they shoot them, but they can use discretion if danger is imminent. It's part of BRPD's training but was not official policy. So basically she added nothing and claimed she changed the BRPD handbook.

Alexander and Alleva both need a one way ticket out of this state.

Thanks. At least she didn't tie their hands.

Not to mention that this very concept is long-established case law. Got news for you Mrs. Mayor. Law trumps Policy every time. Sorry.

Broome addressed a crowd of around 30 people late Tuesday afternoon at the LSU Journalism Building as part of the 2017 John Breaux Symposium that focused on the intersection of race and public policy. The mayor-president spoke mostly about policing and her recent changes to the Baton Rouge Police Department's use-of-force policy
1. Does she do ANYTHING that isn't focused on race? Why not at least try to not be blatant about it?
2. WTF does talking about BRPD have to do with "race and public policy?" Wait, is she stating that BRPD uses force disproportionately on a racial basis? Because that would be some shite that every person that sues the city will latch onto. Way to go Mayor.

When NBR riots and tries to burn down the city after the Alton Sterling results come out that should be all the ammo St George supporters will need

It would be incredible if St. George would take LSU with it

No idea when but I'm just venturing a guess as why they are waiting so long....

I don't live there, but if F. King Alexander is for it, I'm against it.

Actually, if more of The Community would pull out I think it would be a net positive.

She says this yet does stupid shite like trying to fire the police chief and making sketchy hires solely because they are black.
Not excusing her shitty hire but let's not act like our past white leaders have done shitty type of hiring.
