I'm being completely honest here, but is there anyway we could get a TigerDroppings inspired "Recall Mayor Doom" campaign going?

Let's fight legal fire with legal return fire.

You dont realize whats involved in a recall operation. Not only do you have to get the correct amount of signatures to bring it to a vote, you also have to get a majority to vote the correct way. Its rarely ever successful, in fact, I want to say its only been done in Louisiana less than a handful of times. Here's a mayor who was the subject of a successful one

Yea, if you think SWB and her cronies call everyone racists now, just imagine if they actually did start a petition and have enough to get it to a vote?

Even if it was brought to a vote, she has a guaranteed built-in 45+% voting base (as long as they show up to the polls) that would not vote to recall her just because the color of her skin.

She is up for election next year, by the time you pass the petition around it would be time to vote anyway.

We need a strong candidate to run, or she e we I’ll be mayor for 8 more years.

And with civic minded folks like Pierson, Lipsey, Engquist, Wampold, Bernhard, Landry, and others helping her; she will be a shoe in.

Allocated to Morvant. Good draw for St. G.

Broome et. al have already made it quite clear that they will appeal this to the Supreme Court.

I believe there was a recall effort that began shortly after she was elected, but it never got off the ground. As expected, when word started to get out about the recall petition, the group was quickly branded as racists.

This is sad but 100% true. It would take a serious galvanization by voters in the southern part of the parish to get Broome out. When she was elected, I honestly thought she'd just be a do nothing mayor. I had no idea how much damage she would do.

Larry Bankston is also part of the Operation Sour Grapes legal team. You can't make this stuff up.

Larry Bankston

On October 4, 1996, Bankston was indicted on five counts of racketeering.[1] In 1997, Bankston was found guilty on two of the counts. One count was the acceptance of a bribe from Fred Goodson. The bribe was phantom "rent" of $1,555 monthly paid to Bankston for "non-use" of the lawmaker's beachfront condominium in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Prosecutors determined the arrangement a "bribe" and a "sham". He was given a 41-month sentence and ordered to pay a $20,000 fine. Bankston served most of his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Beaumont, Texas.

Delgado was the face of the recall movement and the face of many of 3rd street’s bars. He was already a shady character, so when Broome ordered BRPD to start enforcing open container laws outside of his bars and had the Alcohol Control Board give him a little look-see into his bar businesses, they quickly went bankrupt. Other people Opposed to her quickly decided it was best to just wait until the next election cycle.

Broome throttled downtown over that recall petition.

Delgado is the face of whatever he thinks will get him 45 seconds of fame or TV time. Dude has changed political stances more than anyone I've ever seen. He actually posted on FB that he supported Gary Chambers in October

Bob, with all these wheels propping her up, I can’t see her losing her office.

You better run for another office.

Matt Watson is running against her, so I might run for his counsel seat.
