Mathematician: history is fake

maybe a historian should tell him math is wrong

I had a physics/chemistry professor in high school whose famous saying was “history is just a bunch of lies that were agreed to.”

I tend to believe him. I think math and science folks deal in absolutes than history or literary types.

So like math?

I don't put much stock in ancient history.

This. Take the whole Greek vs Persian Empire narrative (last stand of the 300, etc..). By any objective standard, the Persians were totally the “good guys” in that deal... the Spartans were pederists and slavers. When the Persians came calling, they let you keep your customs, religions, didn’t take your women and children as slaves, they freed the Israelites from Babylonian enslavement, etc etc etc. But the Greeks won, and wrote the story.

Black people been trying to tell us this.
