He definitely planned it out well. He had two shooting positions. First one was for where the crowd was during the concert, and I'm guessing the second one was for where the crowd would run after the shooting started

If the reports of this dude being non-military are true, then he is damn tactical for someone without formal training.

Suppressors should be easier to get. They do not silence a gun. Anyone who calls them a silencer does not know enough to even opine on the issue.

Someone mentioned they do on a .22. Well it would be a plus if we moved these terrorists to .22s.

It amazes me that people think like that. If the gun was silenced (silencers do not make guns silent btw) everyone would've just stood there while everyone fell dead around them.

The craziest part is a huge number of people will believe that train of thought.

I think he used a bump fire stock. What do you think?

For those that don't know what a bump fire stock is or what it does here is a video LINK

I have been saying they have a limited life and will be banned soon.

Agreed. I think they'll find that he had some form of training.

Thanks for posting that. Those have to be extremely hard to aim, correct?

Hearing protection for sport shooters. Won't be as loud in your house if you have to use a weapon indoors for self defense meaning you won't blow out your eardrums trying to protect your family and other health benefits.

easily

32nd floor of the Mandalay is going to be higher than your normal 32nd floor because of the casinos/ball rooms/etc.

This shooter was 450-500m away

Yes but in a crowd of 22K he wasn't aiming.

Fire a gun without hearing protection, and get back to me.

Guns are loud, and can be heard from miles away. This just makes them less loud, less likely to damage hearing and less likely to bother people miles away from someone doing target practice.

bumpfire, binary trigger, gat crank, something along those lines. fire rate was too low and too inconsistent to be a true NFA weapon with a true full auto sear.

then again, a monkey can play with a stock AR15 sear and make it shoot that fast

Oh I wasn't talking about in this particular situation, it was more a general question.

I'm watching an interview with his brother in Florida and he claims that the shooter had no issues, motives, etc. yet the last time they even spoke was when the shooter texted the brother asking how the mom did during Irma.

The brother was also evasive when asked what the shooter did for a living: "He's retired." What did he do before? "Just nothing. Nah it's all on the public record. When to college, had a job. Owned some apartments, sold some apartments. There's nothing." Obviously it's very traumatic but the brother seemed off.

You can't even get a FFL unless you are a dealer. If I want to get an FFL I have to prove to the federal government that I am in the business of buying and selling firearms... a regular gun owner/collector cannot get an FFL.

The only thing you can get as a collector is a Curio & Relics license which I have.
