I also was watching him tightly circle that area and wondered if they found something.
Or looking for a weapon or other item?

True. They waiting a long time before approaching the boat not knowing if he was still alive. (he wasn't)

Might be irrelevant but there’s a coast guard plane that left from the airport about an hour ago followed the river and is basically flying over all the tributaries from the river

This may be the best planned one of these we have seen, especially as far as the escape plan goes. The LV shooter planned the spree well, but had no intentions of ever leaving that room. We just don't see someone who has the thought beyond the act like this guy very often.

I don't know how he could do that. There is a damn between the boat ramp and the Kennebec river.

That river goes all the way to the atlantic...wonder if he had enough fuel to make it there?

I initially posted this was a possibility last night and people laughed but I just had a feeling. I thought about that dam if he was able to get around it somehow he’s long gone

That coast guard plane is now circling an area over the kennebec river. Could be unrelated but seems interesting for a coast guard plane to be circling an area in such close proximity to this event if it’s unrelated.
Well he just circled twice and is now headed back south.

You are aware that this is how the country came to be, right?
Yes, which isn't an answer at all to my post.

Most countries meet their end violently. Will it happen here? Maybe not, but saying it won't/couldn't/can't is probably a little premature after only 247 years.
Firstly, what the hell are you talking about? There are plenty of countries that haven't 'met their end violently.' Governments in those countries may or may not have been changed through violent means, but in the post-WW2 era, modern, developed countries rarely meet their ends that way. Secondly, what does that have to do with the inability of this group to organize? The reality that you have to swallow is that your gun ownership hasn't stopped anyone from anything with regards to governmental power. The best argument for gun ownership is that it is part of the natural right for self-defense, but you guys are doing lots of work by imagining all these people who are supposedly on your side can be organized into anything. Lastly, the US as of now has no characteristics similar to the Revolutionary era, because we have an exceedingly old population which isn't willing to sacrifice their comforts.

Oh it’s definitely related

Where are you going from there though?
Looking at the map, I95 has an exit VERY close to the 2nd shooting. If you swapped cars at the boat ramp and no one knew who were initially, sure seems like I95 would be the quickest way to clear yourself of LE. But an interstate would be monitored quickly at some point.
Maine has such a crazy coast with so many small cabins, it would be incredibly easy to hide out in a remote cabin for days.

If he attempted to take a 15' bayliner into the Atlantic the police won't have to use a single bullet on him

LOL at the guy wearing the mask.
For his safety.

I just wonder if he slipped off on one of the tributaries just to get far enough away to get out of the area and could be hold up in a cabin

Water is a great place to lose a track. Scent spread far, somewhere to hide/sink the boat, move at a fairly decent clip before they even know how you're moving.
This was not someone who snapped. This took a lot of planning
