Me, no, I have impulse control

I’m not going to argue that a married person can’t have friends of the opposite sex, but if you believe that you could never possibly be tempted by someone of the opposite sex over the course of a decades long marriage and can’t see how being friends with that someone increases the odds that you’ll cross a critical line during a difficult time in your life, then you’re not nearly as smart as you think you are.

Im talking about someone that I hold in a close relationship, someone that I will actually go through life phases with and keep up with. I dont think one of the 8 people you consider to be a good friend would be a female for me. all others, sure I would call them friends, but really they are acquaintances to some extent

So like a nonissue for pretty much everyone?

For normal people sure

But there are guys on here arguing different

That was the whole point to begin with

I highly doubt you are going to hangout with a female acquaintance without your wife

Yet some on here think it’s normal

You just excluded the women you are probably more statistically likely to cheat with than female friends you have had for years

Absolutely not. Once you mature, you realize this

Yeah it seems weird to me for a married normal guy to have a true involved female good friend, but damn man that’s a hell of a rant.

I have a lot of female friends. Meet for drinks, to see bands, dinner with groups of friends all the time.

Talk about music since most are also in bands/DJs, talk about our other friends, our relationships, talk about the weather. Whatever.

Not so strange if you have some range of interests and know other people that do as well.

This is definitely NOT, and I repeat NOT my situation, but would a bi-sexual person be prevented from having any friends at all in your opinion?

This is the only correct answer for a man who got married for the right reasons

I’ve had some very good platonic female friends. They were all utterly unsexy.

Be honest, even though they weren’t sexy you never thought about what it would be like to frick one of them?

This is the big one. These are the people you are with as much or more than your family. About a decade ago I worked with this chick that was super nice and liked sports. She was also 15 years younger than me and super hot. From conversations we had it was obvious she had had daddy issues in the past. Over time she started rubbing my shoulders and putting her tits on my neck. I saw the red flags coming. I removed myself from the situation by just being honest that absolutely nothing would ever happen.

No, they were totally unfrickable. Had they been frickable we probably couldn’t have stayed close friends. It’s pretty difficult if not impossible to be close friends with a chick who is decent looking bc at some point alcohol will be involved and a move will be made.

I agree with everything you said...but I can also see why you are getting downvotes. It just seems a bit random

There’s no such thing as male/female friendship, married or unmarried, period.

It’s a strange thought that it can even exist.

If I want to be a friend with a woman I want to frick them. That’s the friendship. It’s silly for a man to say otherwise.
