I am an evacuee from Lake Charles and we have been staying in NO. A red cross lady has given us a place in Marion Indiana. Does anybody know anything about it?

It’s far away from here.

Far better survival rate than N.O.

Do you like corn?
Marion sits in the middle of a very large corn field.
I bet they even have a corn festival and a corn queen.
That's all I know about it.

Judging by his son in that abomination of a 4th film, perhaps he didn’t do enough wrapping up of his own

Whoa whoa whoa, fr33 just gave you gold, you cant just brush past it like that. Appreciate the joke. It’s 1 in the morning, I doubt you need to make a call on your future in Indiana at this hour.

I have. It's just a smallish northern Indiana town. Nothing really notable about it that I can recall. I did love working in Indiana. Great people overall, but you can say that about much of the midwest.

Haven’t been to Marion, but spent some time in Kokomo. It’s north central Indiana which means it’s flat and cold in the winter (you will need winter boots), good demographics, fairly safe and dull. If you have kids it might be worth it just to let them experience something different. You can visit Purdue, Notre Dame and IU from there. Indianapolis is within range.

Also, James Dean is from there. Your big downside will be trying to find good seafood in the Heartland.

I lived in Hebron , Indiana about thirty years ago for a little over a year. I can tell you they were some of the rudest people I’ve ever met . Also the women there in my opinion in Indiana are the ugliest I think in the United States

It’s my hometown and it’s a shithole. There’s nice places in the county and the north side is decent but overall it’s not a good place.

How does this work, as in a job and everything else?

If you are asking yourself if moving from Lake Charles, Louisiana to small town Indiana is a major transition? Hell yes.

Of all the possible places to ask about and there is someone who can answer OP.

How does moving to Indiana help the OP? Is he rebuilding or just ready to move entirely?

This is the Red Cross' way of saying --

GO HOME! Rebuild your own home and get off the Red Cross tit. If you don't, we're going to send you to the middle of f*cking nowhere in the middle of f*cking winter to make you f*cking miserable so that you can't wait to go home.

If you go to a fast food restaurant odds are the person serving you will be white and your order will be correct

There are lots of meth heads there. Especially hanging around the Chinese buffet. Anecdotal from one stop there when traveling a few years ago.
