You know who else is harmful? Naughty children

I’m increasingly convinced that the only solution to this shite is beatings.

The only thing I would like to see from a Christian standpoint trying to remember reason for the season even while participating in secular aspect is put some kind of limit what Santa “gives” young kids who still believe in Santa and let parents directly take credit for the rest. Not a limit on total gifts but one on the ones from Santa.
It doesn’t matter if all the kid’s friends & classmates are from families in same income bracket, but it dawned on me much later in life that I got better gifts and more of them from Santa than some of my good friends at the time (got worse than a couple of friends) and would end up talking to friends about what we all got from Santa like all kids do.

Soft kids are lucky they don't have to deal with Santa's friend and enforcer Krampus.
Christmas in Bavaria, where Krampus brings beatings and kidnappings for the naughty ones.

I wonder how many of these experts’ kids have a Psychiatrist or therapist. Therapist kids always seem the most messed up. These kids are not taught the difference between right and wrong because their parents are too weak to tell them.

We stopped scaring children with threats of no christmas and they have turned into complete shitheads that murder and steal.

I think this world today needs a little more shame, guilt, and understanding of naughty and nice. Throw in a little fear of punishment and you might once again have well behaved kids!

I remember the children of the co-op Westbeth in Manhattan several decades ago. Their parents were leftist artists and counter-culture leaders. They didn't want to do anything to repress their children's growth and to let them grow natural.
A group of kids got together and killed another kid just to see what it was like. They created their own little "Lord of the Flies" environment.

seems like the common theme now is kids shouldn't really have any sort of stress or discomfort ever
Posted on 12/8/23 at 3:49 pm to High C
My parents made sure being on the naughty list was harmful to my arse.

Correct, and that is simply not what life is. shite like this is why you see multiple 20-somethings on TikTok crying because they have to go to work, like….adults.
