I think Trump is worried about his family’s safety. I also think Trump’s team is using the Epstein info to manipulate the people on the list, flight logs, videos, etc.
There are victims available to testify. Y’all are trying to justify the DOJ refusing to investigate legitimate rape and kidnapping.
I wish a reporter would ask Trump if he would want an old man prosecuted if that man raped Ivana or Kai when they were 14.
I didn’t listen to the podcast and haven’t read all of this thread. I don’t understand why Tucker doesn’t want regime change in Iran. Have their leaders said death to America? Do they consider all of us infidels? Do Iranian women have to wear bedsheets and are they treated like dogs? I’ve seen the photos and videos of Iran in the 1970’s. Why do we not want that for Iran? It seems like the Iranian people want that also.
Yep, we may not have built the buildings but certainly taught them how to drill and produce oil.
It’s time for Kash et al to show Tillis his browser history and his bank records for the last 20 years. If nothing is there, it’s time to generate something and put it there. It’s time to play dirty.
Why isn’t this trending #1 on X? This should dominate the news. All parties need to be held accountable.
Tucker’s podcast with Bob Lighthizer is very good. It makes you appreciate what Trump is trying to do. We have to reestablish the middle class.

Fireside chats

Trump needs to start having them. He needs to talk to people who don’t read TD, Truth Social, or even X. He needs to do professional presentations on what DOGE has found with proof. Tell us the stats on the border and what is being done. Explain the Zelenskyy thing. Teach us like we are five. Take it out of the hands of the press.
Not true about dream being dead. My son played college ball and majored in engineering. He’s got a great job now and seems like he’s on a path to success.
I wasn’t trying to defend travel ball. Dads need to be smart enough to see what’s best for their kids. I was trying to stress the importance of spending time with your kids, helping them be good at something, and making sure they know they are important and loved.
Theo recently had Richard Reeves on his podcast. Reeves specializes in studying social issues. He stated that the suicide rate in males under age 20 has increased 40% since 2010. He said the majority of the suicide notes say the boy feels useless or worthless. He also stated that males communicate best when talking shoulder to shoulder or when doing something physical. There have been a lot of threads on here where people criticize travel ball, one just a week ago. I said in the thread last week that the best thing I ever did for my son was build a batting cage and threw batting practice to him after work. The criticizers of travel ball are missing the point. It’s not about Braxton getting a scholarship. It’s about throwing BP to your child in the backyard or catching him pitching when no one else is around. It doesn’t have to be baseball. It can be anything your child is good at and likes. But you need to show them that you love them and that you’re willing to sacrifice your time for them. Many days I didn’t want to get home after work and then spend an hour in the backyard throwing BP. But I did it. All of you dads who want to go play golf on the weekends with friends or go hunting and fishing with buddies or get home from work and sit on the couch and drink beer and play video games or watch tv and veg out need to work on making your children better at something so they don’t end up feeling useless or worthless.
Absolutely agree. It’s just good to have your kids want to be good at something so they set goals, practice, work hard, and see results.
Unless your kid is Bo Jackson or Bryce Harper, they need to play travel ball to play on a decent high school team. You parents in denial need to remember this thread when your son or daughter come home crying after getting cut their freshman year. Find the right group of boys and parents and enjoy it. If you think your kid will want to play in high school, give the chance by letting them see good competition and develop. If you don’t do it, other parents will and you will end up with a sad kid sitting at home playing fort night.
Another thing about baseball is that it puts the spotlight on the batter, pitcher, or fielder. In other sports like football, basketball, or soccer, a kid can hide on the field. It’s hard to hide in the batter’s box. A pitcher can embarrass a batter. A kid that goes 0 for 4 with 4 strikeouts every game will not enjoy the game and will quit. The kid that stares down the pitcher and hits a bomb ends up loving a great game, sees his hard work pay off, gains confidence, and can play on his high school team if he chooses. It’s about giving kids the opportunity to be successful and to like the feel and smell of grass in the spring.
You have to use common sense for pitchers and protect their arms. For hitters and position players, they have to start seeing good pitching early if they are going to compete at the high school level. Baseball isn’t like football or basketball. If a kid is a good athlete, they can start playing football in high school and still be good. Very few kids can develop the hand eye coordination to hit a baseball unless they start young. Travel ball is the only way to face good pitching these days.

My one piece of advice to all dads with a young kid who wants to play baseball or softball is to build a batting cage in the backyard. This was the best money I ever spent as a dad. Every evening after work my son would hit and I would throw him batting practice. It was our time to talk about his day. After 15-20 minutes of BP, he would start taking about anything that was bothering him. The activity made him relax. It became his refuge. I truly believe that batting cage was one of reasons my son is the man he is today and our relationship is so strong. Our saying was “a bucket a day keeps the 0’fers away”. I’m telling you, it works. It’s kind of like sitting in a boat fishing but that’s hard to do in your the backyard.

In the 80’s I remember The Killer Bees and also Joe King Carrasco.
This time Trump will have the DOJ on his side. Kash et al will have the dirt on the politicians and will be able to convince them that it is in their best interests to go quietly into the night. Pictures may be released, browser histories may be released, maybe someone gets set up with a prostitute.
