Shaq did something similar here in Orlando. Finally sold but it took a long long time bc of all the weird shite he did to it.

A big part is the location. If I remember right it's located on a body of water.

His mansion is in a good spot for the future unlike MJs home which is located in a terrible spot for the future. If Chicago was growing and the economy was growing that would be one thing, as it turns out both the economy and population are shrinking by the day.

I laugh when i see that stuff

Reminds me of how folks that rushed out and bought houses during the Covid stuff are about gonna get fricked now that the appraisal of the house is no where near what they paid for it

It's obviously market specific, but I know Baton Rouge is still vastly higher today than it was during Covid. I imagine most normal markets are similar.

what mountain side is your 8 figure home?

Even if I had the money one of the few places I would consider building a 8 figure house would be overlooking the Lone Cypress in your neck of the woods.

Yearly maintenance / upkeep cost on a house like must be a staggering amount of $’s.

This is exactly what I'd expect the person who built this house to look like

I bought at the start of 2021, locked in at 2.75%, and the comps have continued going up per sq/ft. I have no idea what they're on about

That Jordan house just looks like a collection of hospital lobby’s grouped together. Cold and impersonal. Kinda like MJ when you think about it.

I’d waste half of every day running up and down those stairs. That three story spiral staircase would quickly become a pain in my arse.

Also, nice plastic gate on the stairs. I guess the dogs aren’t allowed off the second floor.

Years ago when I was much younger I used to think I wanted a huge house like that someday.

Of course I can't buy a $16 million dollar place but even if I could I wouldn't. AT my age now the first thing I think is it must be a royal pain in the arse to try to maintain a reliable, honest staff large enough to maintain that damn place.
