Man on a scooter defends a bike thief from beating, thief then tries to steal his scooter

To be fair, doubtful the scooter man knew the reason for the beating. He just saw someone getting pummeled. I probably would've stopped it too, the fight was won, only serious injuries were left to accomplish.
But that was hilarious. His face at the end like he was trying to explain himself

True dedication right there. He would not give up. I'd bet my last dollar that that young man ended up stealing a bike that day, eventually. He must have just finished watching Valvano's famous directive, "Don't give up. Don't ever give up."

He 100% intervened because a brother was taking the beating. Like a lot of black folks in videos, they don't say much if it is a white person getting a beating.
