Crestwood is one of the GOAT cut around of traffic in Baton Rouge. Every afternoon people sit at that stop sign on Cedarcrest but you can cut around on Crestwood and skip everybody in line and come out at that 4 way stop.

Just don't get shot

That's off of Cedercrest not Coursey

They used Coursey as a cheap shot at St. George because a lot of Coursey is in SG.

This isnt one of those situations where the body was dumped like it was in Kennilworth park?

As areas age, the bad shite tends to creep in toward there.

Apartment complexes also influence that. Afton Oaks, for example, is a shithole on Sherwood that backs up against a pretty decent neighborhood. One of the post-vote murders was a body dumped in a park behind there.

No telling but I'm one of those people that reads the crime blotter daily for whatever reason and they've had a few shootings back there in the past couple years.

When I googled "3000 block of Crestwood Street" to check STG status, it returned 3 prior shootings in that same block including one deadly in 2017.

We live in Woodland Ridge which connects to Afton Oaks (the neighborhood). The neighborhood is still fine but those apartments are kind of shady. My house is a mile plus away from there though.

Anytime you have a neighborhood between two shithole apartment complexes you gonna have issues

Which is a shame. I lived in those apartments in the early '90's. Pretty nice back then.

The 2 complexes on either side of those still seem fine. They are both gated though.

Well, still no arrests made in the random murder of Janessa Hartley. However, there is an audio recording of the TPOS killer and the getaway car used in the murder.

The St. George Zoning ordinance should only allow gated, private road developments. No apartments, no more public roads.
